Samsung paid a lot of money to run ads digging at Apple but when it comes to recall, they just post a YouTube video. Talk about dodging responsibility.

i acknowledge the apology in a good matter, i dunno exactly what are the compensations been made (world wide at least) but it's a nice following step from the recall
i still think the exchange will be delayed specially from carriers since they have to take it to samsung and all but i really hope this turns out well :)

Glad I got my note5, which doesnt explode and works like a charm. 7 months with it and I still dont see any lagging or jittering, and no battery exploding. If I would ever replace this phone I'd wait for the note 8 or get a huawei

How to treat your premium customers?
- offer a budget phone for loaner (come on, at least a Note 5 or S6, not a J-series phone)
- not allowing refunds in some countries (no refunds nor exchanges with other Samsung phones in Singapore, refunds are only happening in countries with good consumer protection to begin with, so no credit to Samsung)
- offering paltry compensation (in singapore, Samsung offers SGD $30 voucher to be spend in Samsung stores. Simply insulting)
- Only allowing a short window of time for exchange period (only until October 2). In comparison, Apple has a camera replacement program for the iPhone 6 plus, and the program covers 3 years from the release of the phone.
- Only made this apology AFTER criticism from the US that Samsung is not doing a proper recall.

Stondec100, 16 Sep 2016Not a single one of the phones you mentioned is better. Every one of them is better than Explosion 7. You are in denial mode. Truth is that samsung is only able to sell their low class phones because of huge advertisement budget that successfully brainwashed customers. Other companies have better phones but don't have enough money to advertisement.
