AnonD-19330, 19 Sep 2016You are 100% correct in every way. It is a shame that more... moreEven though it is a phablet and not a phone, You should consider the BB Priv as a keyboard lover.
Much of the complaints they have in the review here are long fixed.

Despite being even huger than the Iphone 6-, it actually has a BETTER one hand grip, to my great surprise and relief. And YES the keys are small, as it slides in the wrong direction, but in practise it works better than I dared hope for.

The list price is quite high for the specs - but as there are no competitor in the segment at all, it is understandable. BUT the unlocked AT&T version has been on sale for $300 multiple times over the summer on ebay, so just keep an eye out. If it comes with Lollipop you can fetch an autoloader an update it to MarshMallow. NOTE however that you currently will not get OTA upgrades, unless you are on AT&T's net (a sim is not enough)

You are 100% correct in every way.
It is a shame that more companies do not do that today.
3 flagship versions all the same spec with the only variation of screen size.
Surely this makes sense from a cost, support, testing.
Also I loved the pro version of devices from back in the day.
Was a HTC avid fan for the slide tilt keyboard.
still think there is room in the market for this kind of device.
Hate loosing screen real estate for a keyboard.
Maybe a bit old hat for many people.
HTC lost me with the Desire Pro downgraded spec disaster and never been back to them.

AnonD-507785, 19 Sep 2016The price is okay, if this would REALLY be a Compact versio... moreWell unfortunately ALL their "Compact" model have been with poorer specs than their flag-ships.
Though with the previous ones, the distance to the top was less.

We have to go all the way back to around 2011 (SonyEricsson) when they had the Ray+Neo+Arc, that were practically identical in specs,, except the physical size. (They even had a fourth too, the Pro, that was a Neo with a slider keyboard)

      http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3972&idPhone3=3619&idPhone2=3734

If you ask me, that was the PERFECT solution (at the time). Same logical top-spec device, in four different physical appearances so each could pick what best met his/her physics and usage pattern, without compromising to mediocre specs. NO other brand has been doing this - unfortunately.

(Personally I loved the Pro. And it is most likely the phone I used the longest time ever - I still keep it as a spare phone should my primary device break down)

The price is okay, if this would REALLY be a Compact version. But since it is Mini version, they should drop the price around $50. It's a bit disappointing device for what it used to be in the past.
