The Qualcomm MSM7230 features a similar Scorpion CPU as the Snapdragon, but it contains the much faster Adreno 205 GPU. ( Which means the gaming will be much better on X12)

At the end of the day the newer 800 MHz MSM7230 will likely out-perform the older 1 GHz Snapdragon, still it would nice if s/e managed to give us a 1 Ghz MSM7230.

And don't worry this processor is ready to be upgraded to gingerbread :)

Jonny Ray, 17 Nov 2010The 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor isn't a bad processo... moreThe 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor isn't a bad processor by any means. The T-Mobile G2 (Desire Z basically) is packing the exact same things. The Benchmarks on it with 2.2 shatter the entire Galaxy S Line up. I know this first hand because I ran it on mine. It's less stress on the battery then the Snapdragons, and it's faster. It's not about the biggest numbers. My Quadrant Standard Benchmark for my stock G2 with Froyo 2.2 is 1523 which is higher then the Nexus One, EVO, Moto DroidX. Before people start bashing the prototype of a phone that isn't nearly ready yet really think about things for a second. To me yeah the X10 was just one big beautiful looking dissapointment. I think as long as they don't screw around with this phone and really pull out all the stops and fire keep the old X10 devlopers away from this phone, it'll be amazing phone. Then as usual everyone who was bashing it will turn around and love it.

CHEERS TO YOU BRO! youre absofreakinlutely right!

I promissed myself that after the x10 2.1 mess, if I ever see anything about SE again, i'll simply turn the page (or browse away from the page)... but I cant help but share my dissapointment. RIP SE.

So the x10 had a 1gig processor and the x12 has 800 Mhz processor. I know theat the Desire z has the same size processor and is really fast [also runs Froyo] but does this smaller processor limit the device regarding the Gingerbread update?

I see the thread is yet again populated with specsheet wannabes. There is no mobile phone that uses or need more then 300MHz unless you are constantly watching 1080p HD movies or multi-tasking 10-11 apps at the same time. 800 MHz is already overkill on a phone. The 1GHz processors etc is just a specsheet to keep the du*b specsheet posers with no clue keep buying new phones every 6 months.

see the point is that when u planning for a succesor of a previous phone it is important to upgrade each n every aspect , so why is se opting for an 800mhz proccessor while the x10 already has 1ghz under its hood. also i think se are not making any good qaulity smartphones

this information is not correct, it has Qualcomm 8255 processor that clocks the speed of 1GHz and it will launch in Q1 (march time frame) with Gingerbread. it will have 8 MP with Exmor and it will be thinnest android phone with 4.3" screen and HD.
