I had mine replaced after forcibly downloading the charging restriction program that caused a series of black outs.... If they ask me to hand over the replacement one, with which I am very happy I shall ask for a full money refund plus compensation and switch to apple, end of story

If it had been the Note 6, like it should have, and had a removable battery, this would have all been avoidable.

If you're not really an S-Pen user then just cut your losses and move back to S7 Edge there problem solved. If you're up to try others though well pick any;- either a Nexus 6P/angler, 1+3 or ZTE Axon 7.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016Note4.. rofl. Its a 32bit weakling. You realise that back in those days, nearly all applications were encoded as 32 bit for Android and even IOS had just recently entered 64 bit territory? Of course, Android Lollipop was around the corner and everyone got worried that the Note 4 snapdragon 805 didnt support 64 bit instructions, the Exynos 5433 did but it was locked to not make the costumers worldwide feel "unfair". The snapdragon 805 also had overheating issues, similar to the 810 but not as drastic.

Meaning their investigation confirmed, that even replacement units were faulty. I say - smart move (though a bit late). Get it off the market and bring another device. I see stocks going down for Samsung though, a lot of people will think twice before they get S8 (or whatever comes next).

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016Remember that Samsung has huge profit margins. Their actual... moreThey have huge margins when you consider the manufacturing cost vis a vis the sales price. But there's R&D, salaries, fixed costs, etc to factor in. Don't kid yourself this is a big hit for Samsung.

Hope the S8 and Note 8 have removable batteries! And Samsung finally fires the guy(s) that came up with the sealed-in battery idea... since this all could've been a much cheaper and easier fix for everyone involved if they just let the batteries be user accessible.
