Loved the note7 most logical to use yet bought it with fancy led cover it was cool when charging no problems this item seems to be missing on all burning ones.my wife had same no problems all ways cool...after recall she tried iphone7 over night where we live NO signal as we live in the country .Note7 running 2 bars of signal So all the hope for iPhone. Went out the window for us. Getting S7edge tomorrow would really to keep note7 but with no warranty moving on sadly as we have been very well treated through the process..as we need a phone that can work more distant areas than under the city cell towers as the experience of iphone7...welcome S7 edge
Thanks Samsung for your Superior coverage

This is proof that Note users are not buying the Note for its feature (S-Pen), but merely for status symbol as the Note is the most expensive Samsung phone. Going to the S7 edge makes sense as that is the next most expensive Samsung phone.
If they actually needed the S-pen, they would've switched to the Note 5, not the S7 edge.

somebody u dont know, 13 Oct 2016Well clearly you have no idea what the word "Bullying" mean... moreMaybe you need to go out more.
US/EU countries have strong consumer protection laws to begin with, thus even on the first round of recall, Samsung was compelled to offer refunds/exchanges.
In other countries, Samsung was not so generous. In Singapore, they didn't allow any refunds nor exchanges for a different model during the first round of recalls. Heck, they even put a note that they won't allow color change. The exchange window was so short as well. It's not until this final discontinuation of the model that they finally allow refunds. But nothing more, no $100 extra or anything (that is US only). Just plain refund.

If I was a Note 7 purchaser, I would be pissed being treated like that.

gilda, 13 Oct 2016Once bitten twice shy. I certainly would want nothing to do... moreI would love to see you do just that. Using any Snapdragon(recent ones including the coming soon SD830) powered smartphone is having to do with Samsung.

May be u need to look at samsung's true color. They are doing the best they can .... and they are not saying they will take back note 7 only if they buy new galaxy. They are just giving some offer just to hold on those customers and not let them go. You are free to get any device of your choice and you would still get full refund for note 7.

In terms of battery life, performance with hardware or camera, and memory storage. We like what's best is the simplest way to put it.

AnonD-586892, 13 Oct 2016One can keep the note 7 as a collectors item. In 10 years t... moreSure, if it doesn't reach menopause and experience hot flashes. Would need to be under some fireproof glass. A better and safer collector's item is an original iPhone or Nokia N9. At least they are safer to keep. An S7 edge is not that much worse than a Note7. Some say S7e reaches 80% of what a Note7 can do. But is it worth keeping a Note7 being only 20% better when it is putting your life at risk?

People wanting to keep the Note7 are idiots. Selfish pride over safety. This isn't on the same level as the original iPhone or a rarer phone like the N9. In a few months, a better phone with better specs and performance will be released. It isn't even the first Note. As great as Note7 is in many aspects for 2016, it wasn't really revolutionary at anything. Samsung should also be blamed for the worst software optimization among all Android OEMs.

Read up on it for Note 4 owners which still were blessed having removable battery. Lag after some usage when $50 Android phones run faster and smoother. I avoid Samsung for three reasons. They don't care about the smooth software experience and give all Androids a bad name with their lag and stutter. OLED have shorter life expectancy than LCD. And I don't like glass backs that are prone to smudges with gimmicky dual edged screens that are useless and will die out once foldable displays are out.

Note7 will be forgotten. Only lasted two months unlike a Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS Vita, and webOS devices which all lasted years which offered far more great memories and Note7 hardly made a positive impact to the industry. It was only 20% better than a S7 edge. Big whoop. People move on. No time to be nostalgic or a sentimentalist in this industry that moves fast. RIP Note7. S8 and Galaxy X, next...

2016 has got to be the worst year for flagships. True, some nice devices out there with nice cameras. But Note7 up in flames, death of headphone jack and same old design with iPhone 7/7+, and LG G5 wasn't well-received for its modular design. Also the death of the Nexus and Note branding.
