AnonD-442781, 18 Oct 2016Battery is so odd with oneplus 3. Some people like you say ... moreHonestly, I'm a very heavy user and I find the OP3 phone battery pathetic the battery drains out very quickly on Wifi, not sure if its Oxygen OS or I need to try it with Cyanogenmod. The Worst part of the phone, type-C ain't so common yet, and even finding a decent dash charger for you car aint easy, its very scarce. Except for the dual sim and a good camera and finally the icing on the cake is the phone warranty doesn't go void when you jail-break or change to a custom ROM.

The battery life differe's based on the usage of the person, if your a very heavy user like me, you'll find the battery hopless, a Mid-to heavy user would find the phone having good battery back up and a person who hardly uses the phone except for taking pics selfies or basic calling would find the battery life to to be incredible, my experience its been mixed but leaning toward the poor battery life side of it.

I've used Oneplus One with Cyanogen and find Oxygen OS a piece of bull crap, except for the dark mode the OS doesn't do justice to the hardware. I find myself lost many a time a day, because I find it hard carrying the dash charger every other place I go, the strangest part is finding accessories and they aren't easy to find to buy, lot of fakes in the market.

Probably, after Cyanogen Mod i'll know if the phone is worth keeping or do I return back to another of fav devices a BB (Not dead for me just yet, dont judge me. I love BB phones but, a comeback from Nokia is worth keeping a watch on.)

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2016Yea, that's why it still gets regular updates. Nobody cares... moreYes. Windows is good as a functional phone. I have one, only using it for calls. Problem is, smartphones these days are so much more than just phones. And that's where Microsoft is lacking.

For a good mobile marketing Nokia has to release a new model which is compatible for both android and windows. Android is is easy for operation but windows is for safe and secure. Those who want android they'll opt for it those who want windows they should have an option. My options is for Nokia windows.

                                I won't mention any models.
In fact the only model that made Nokia truly famous was the Nokia 3310.

The Ericsson T28, T39 and SE T68i were far better. As was the K750i and K800i.
BTW, isn't it funny back then phones had IRda. Later this came back into one generation of smartphones (but only as a remote control not to transfer data) to disapear again in today's most models.

It is disgusting to see that the 2 companies with the most experience in smartphone and PDA-technology, small-footprint high performance OS's and games, whom should have created the ultimate smartphone, made such a bloody mess that are Windows Phones.

Not to mention that it took way too long to get things right with Symbian (both HW and SW). Nokia sold too long smartphones with too little memory (the one major flaw in most S60 handsets).
Lets hope that the powers that be at Nokia learned their lesson!

BTW, IMHO Sony (as Sony-Ericsson) made far better featurephones than nokia ever did. The T39, T68i, K750, K8x0 and many others were truly great. Not to mention that iconic P800.
Amazing that 14 years after that device people still get hooked on phones with big-screens and pens ;-)

I am glad HMD Global is a Finnish company, headed by a senior Nokia exec, and with a board of directors from Nokia. It's like the ball is still in their field and they didn't outsource to strangers. This was a huge relief to me.
