Symbian OS is the most complete OS.
Symbian OS is the first mobile os with true multitasking.
is the suscceesor of the Psion (firs mobile computer)
BUT NOKIA DISTROYED SYMBIAN WITH S60 UI...THATS PERFCETLY TRUE.
IF Nokia will change soon the s60 ui with something like a true UI (user interface) like ex serries 90 (nokia 7700 and 7710) they will have a chance to make the symbian the best os. So the people that said that symbian sucks....is because the UI not because of the OS (Operating system).

Eldar is right! In my opinion no matter what the specs are (although the Sushit... I mean Sushi's specs aren't spectacular by any means) they are totally ruined by symbian! This OS is still in diapers compared to other OSes outhere!!

It seems that every time a new Nokia phone pops up, the discussion is not about the phone of itself but about the aging Symbian OS. I will admit that I am a Nokia fan but I appreciate the great work at Google and Apple. However, if people can't realize the beautiful touch OS Symbian is turning out to be, especially with the announcement that there will be no Symbian 4, just continual improvements of Symbian, thats their loss. Ofcourse, Nokia has the capability to give you 7 home screens and 1Ghz CPUs and gyroscopes etc after all it has one of the best RD departments in the industry. They just like to do things their own way, while still taking cues from the customer basis. I thought Apple fan boys would understand but I guess their bias is blinding.

Both in so... more200$ cost symbian craps as a smartphone yes nokia is the leader. but in my opinion nokia has no smartphone on the market, at max those craps could media phones. and also apple has 2 new models in the market but gets much more profit than all nokia handsets sold. what a shame for nokia.
p.s: i am not neither apple fanboy nor android fanboy. i am using older model moto.

Nokia is still the best. 1. It sells the most number of smartphones, not just only 'phones'.
2. Symbian is the only OS with the true, I say TRUE, multitasking.
3. It's reliable, no dropping of signals anywhere you held it.
4. Fully customizable OS.
5. Update friendly.
6. A huge line up of applications.
7. Youre reading this list because your a fanboy of Nokia yourself. You won't just admit it coz you dont want to lose being "in".

Nokia has changed their strategy lately.
They lowered their price of all of their phones.
In their recent flagship N8, they are like 49.99 for 3 years contract in Canada. Compare to flagship Blackberry torch 199.99, and Iphone 149.99 Nokia is really aiming for the cheaper mass. This is the only way they can survive now. They tried but realize they cannot compete with the top end. so they have to aim at the lower end. I heard in India, Nokia is selling like pancakes cause of their lowered prices.

The transparent widget on X7 is nice. I hope N8 has that same transparent widget.

If you need numbers like - 1 giga cpu, 1 giga RAM... you can take HTC or samsung, but if you need really ballanced device, nokia is the best choice

why is nokia stuck with fixed focus camera in the mobiles. First nokia didn't want to make good touch screen phones now it does not want to make good camera phone.
