27 October 2016
The Korean giant didn’t go into any detail, but still reassured shareholders that such an incident will not happen again.

For a company like Samsung, aren't they supposed to put out only products that were previously tested before launching? It seems they were on a rush to launch the device to compete with iPhone 7...

Do you think any of them care about you as a customer? Well guess what. They only look at you as a statistic and only care about the money you're giving them by buying their products. Get that through your head!

Last 15years I never bought a battery for my phones. I Always change phone before that. SD card was needed two years back because internal memory was 8or 16gb and that was not enough. Now these days it's 64 or 128 and which is most of the time enough and there is free cloud services too. And Now batteries charge 60to 80% in 30min. Why the he'll would you carry another battery for?. Just keep a power bank when you go to Woods. There is absolutely nothing wrong with S7. A complete package. Thank you Sammy.

Samsung should think more about what there Galaxy phones offer, instead of worrying and the copying nearly everything Apple offers on its iPhones,Samsung phones were very popular when they offered the removable battery option plus micro sd card slot, then Samsung thought it would gain iPhone users by not offering these options on the Galaxy S6 models and then there Sales was not so good, then bring back the micro sd card slot on the Galaxy S7 models and there Sales was miles better, but then rushed out the Note 7 just because Apple was going to release the New iPhone 7 models, and then the battery problem and Saga with the Note 7 could have been solved more quicker if the Removable battery was offered on this model,Hope Samsung now think more about there Galaxy phone users more, and bring back both there best selling options people really want on there phones

oh grow up...i don't understnad what with this problem about removable batteries??? DON"T YOU GUYS HAVE BATTERY PACKS?? THEY CAN CHARGE YOUR PHONE WITHOUT EVEN SHUTTING IT DOWN...i don't see what's with you people? nooone has a problem with apple doing whaterver they want..they removed the fricking audio jack for god's sake and people still love it...nokia had a similar problem with the n8...people were hating on the non removable battery..tell you what..its still working..i preordered my device, and its still working fine...saying li ion batteries die after 2 years is a myth....and to the guy who said ower users would want removable batteries..power users will probably like uninterrupted use of the phone, not to mention nice tight battery cover thats not shaking like a rotten tooth because of you yanking it out every day..and not to mention, power users will probably upgrade the phone long before the batteriesgive out

Biggest problem with Samsung is their lack of care for existing customers. They only care if you buy their top of the line super expensive phone. For a little while. I'm not going to buy another phone from a company that doesn't actually care about me as a customer. Everyone who owned a BadaOS phone know what I'm talking about and Samsung's Android lineup isn't far away from there...

Unless they were skimping on that before... (which a manufacturer like Samsung would already know better than that)

All-in-all what matters is that they find-out the root cause and solve the design issue once and for all (for future models). Otherwise there simply is no amount of QA that can overcome a long-term faulty design.

I definitely admire Samsung's strong desire. I do commend Samsung for learning from mistakes and adapting new things for a better future of their smartphones. For 43 years of existence, they must've encountered lots of challenges already and this is not new to them. Hence, all downfall would be exchanged with high rise soon. Congratulations Samsung for your positive perception despite your dark days.

In the process of production and when the final product is ready is used QC or quality control.
Yes both terms are often used interchangably, but in production they mean and are used differently, they are often separate departments with level of organisation, procedures and even menagment.

Usually, it's one of the final step before launching a product. I am not saying they aren't doing their best to damage control the note 7 fiasco. My comment is related to Samsung's statement that they would do a "better job with QA in the future", which insinuates that they were not doing a good QA job on their products prior to note 7 explosions.

Well...those are just words, PR and damage control. Samsung needs different direction, not just the focus on QA. Less devices, better quality, lower prices. These days, when you can have pretty much the same user experience for half what they are asking for, it's just hard to justify the price. I stopped buying Samsung simply because they are always slacking off in the sound department, always have been. I get it, they focus on screen and camera, but it's just not enough for me. As of now I will approach this PR speech with a lot of reserve. I've learned, that actions speak louder than words. Time will tell.
