Core i7 6th gen, 1TB HDD, gtx 1060 6gb, 17" 1080 panel, customizable keyboard lighting, usb 3.1 / thunderbolt... this is the starting cost model for a gaming laptop which is $1,499. a lot cheaper and way better specs than the most expensive macbook pro to date. Mac OS is not that great to make people buy macbooks. apple needs to rethink their pricing strategy.

Don't know w... moreSpecially in the 13inch model, that relies on an integrated GPU that shares memory bandwidth with the main RAM. Dell did the same thing in their Kaby Lake XPS 13 (yeah, they are already one generation ahead of Apple).

Also in Microsoft web doesn't specifies if ram on surface book is ddr3 or 4.

On apple web says the RAM is LPDDR3, not DDR4. Don't know why if they put a Skylake processor didn't use DDR4 memories with higher bandwidth and a lower power consumption.

Apparently "innovation" is copying what Lenovo already did (in the past) with their Thinkpad X1 series. And the reason it failed is quite obvious, no amount of animation or vibration replaces the touch-and-feal of a real key -- you know, the one you can find and type even with your eyes closed/looking elsewhere.
Their use-cases would be solved much better by a touch-screen, you know, like all high-end PCs today already offer (at bare least) as an option!
Finally, can a product that doesn't have the function keys row really be called "Pro"?

Very nice and should be super fast. The Iris graphics are surprisingly capable...I run games via bootcamp like dark souls 3, lords of the fallen, final fantasy 13/13-2/LR, fallout 4, dragon's dogma ect (with graphics set to medium) without any problems on a MacBook Pro Retina mid 2014 (Intel Iris Pro) so I imagine that these new models will be even more capable. Gaming aside, the design is beautiful and Mac OS Sierra is a joy to use. Worth it. Well done Apple.
