I wonder why they didn't stick with Maemo OS instead of growing from zero with MeeGo? that would be an easier and faster route

maemo5 looks much more like a mobile linux OS too me plus the windowed mutlitasking kills every multitasking in the world
if they scrap the current meego look and go back to maemo5's looks i would be much happier

the reason why N900/maemo 5 has video call support is cause maemo 5 is actually a full operating linux OS which has touch
maemo 5 = linux(mint)touch
N900 is also a mobile computer with calling capabilities not a smartphone

Why cant you guys read it is not about Androids being advanced than Symbian
I have personally used Symbian & android & frankly i like them both
this is just an update that SYMBIAN ^ 3 has now got these apps as it was new possibly they did not have them
i am planning to get an N8 so i would be happy about it
stop fighting each of you have a device that works for you dont put others down

Maybe you should actually get to know the OS before trying to bash it? It can do lot more than your current OS.

So symbian just got skype lol xd, well I guess this says it all. And this is the reason why symbian is outdated compared to android and ios.

skype finally but kinda disappointed no video call, it has it on my n900 skype please fix this, youtube not to impressed i think google does not want to spend more time on developing a better app for symbian since it is a competing os with their android os and that would be a conflict of interest to the investors.

and the build is bad just... moreI only ever had iPhone call quality issues after a repairer botched a screen replacement - otherwise it was fine. *shrug*

i just dont get it why ppl always argue about what is the best
simply, there is nothing called the best
i tired Iphone os its great, tried Android its Awesome ,windows mobile 6.5 was brilliant but its old fashioned at the mean time (however, i didnt try Win7 yet) ,finally, tried symbian its simple and thats cool as well
so each OS has its own figures and u cant make all the ppl become fans of ur beloved phone or OS.

TSH, 10 Dec 2010now, now. iPhone is quite a good handset. Makes phone calls... morecall quality is a sac of crap
and the build is bad just the interface is nice
i could care less if i can make a call if the phone is just there to look nice XD
