for the sake of argument regarding iPhone loss of sygnal, lads, no point in trying to 'finger' the aerial now. As far as I remember the very first update after iphone4 release was a software bit that covers this issue. It was called 'increased bars' or something. I've tried my colleagues phone before and after that update and 'magic' did happen : before it was dropping all the bars within 30 seconds ish, after, if i recollect right, 1 bar. So everyone who's trying it now will not see that happening visually, however....
