[deleted post]Yeah I am a Nokia fan too but I don't mock other brands. Every one can use what ever brand they want. It just doesn't sound ok that people come to watch phones just to write like "ha ha this phone sucks". If people don't like the brand don't watch the phones then. Can't be that hard.

[deleted post]Sorry but I learned my lesson the hard way with the X10 fiasco. I will never buy anything with SE's name on it. I'm still waiting for multitouch, 16M colors and Froyo and we were promised to get those updates next year. SE is just not fast enough on the updates department.

My personal fps rate to consider a game playable is:
35+ for games on phones
50+ for games on PC.
60+ being absolutely great!

Our eyes can only register something like 25/30 frames individually, but you can still perceive the smoothness even above 60 FPS.
But that's not really the problem, the problem is if they launch something that Nexus S is going to run at 24FPS, how the Playstation Phone will run? 5 FPS?

I'll have you know that a 24fps video is what is considered THE benchmark in video quality, it is the closest speed there is to natural movement when projected for viewing. It might stand to reason then that a 24.4fps could in fact be higher rated than a 55fps, although of course between projection and recording, there's a world of difference.
Still, that might be Sony's reasoning too, if in fact, there's a digital video format equal to the task of matching the 24 images per seconds as seen in cinemas when celluloid was still around, and that's why DSLR cameras are now offering AVCHD video quality at 24fps as well as quite a few compact ones...

Launch a game that runs good on your PC. Something simple, like Counter-strike. Set max FPS to 500. Play the game for a while.
Now, change the limit to 24 fps. Play for a while.
Now say again that 24 fps is better for games.
24 fps may be good for movies if they're recorded with 24fps in mind. But its not good for computer games. I say the more the merrier, with 60 being limit.

I can not post an objective opinion now, I have to see how games work with this phone, after that I can tell if this phone deserves to be bought.

I am a HTC user but 24.4 fps is totally great! Kudos to SE.. Spot on! How could Nexus S have such bad fps like 55.6, it's very uneven and not good.
Anyone that knows about video and graphics knows that 23.97 fps in the best framerate for games and video.
I like it when people think 720p/1080p at 50 fps or 60 fps is the best because it's the highest, when in fact the ideal framerate is 23.97 for both movies and games, and for the eye.

what people are they honestly targeting with this piece of crap? 5-12 yr olds? most kids that age aren't allowed/can't afford phones period. why would they not just buy a psp for $150 rather than spend $500 for a phone
