Too expensive and I dont find the design special. I can easily get a better design and better features phones with that kind of money.

"It will probably keep the tri-band GSM support, 64MB of internal memory and a 262K color display with a resolution of 208x208 pixels of the original Nokia 8800. Following the current trends, the phone would also feature a well-developed music player and enhanced Bluetooth capabilities, although even the regular Nokia 8800 supported the A2DP profile allowing listening to music on a stereo "
I work in the phone industry, and just had to say, The only way this phone will ever feature the music player is if there is a memory card slot, it couldnt function properly if the 64mb internal was used by songs...

I think this phone is a good buy for someone who simply wants a nice looking phone with no spills or thrills. Yes, it will make a call, send a txt and if your lucky take a blurry picture!

Yeah this phone is well expensive. Nowadays most top of the line phones cost £350 max sim free. I would rather get two really good phones than the Sirocco which lacks features so its technologies will be out of date by next year. I mean come on 2MP is not enough, standard is 3.2MP nowaydays, soon becoming 5MP! There is just no point in buying this phone unless you have loads of money lying around your house.

I have to say, this phone is not much different form the 8800 and is not worth £799.99 as it has very similar screen and similar design all it has is a better camera really and i actually prefer the old deisgn because that was black and silver, this one is all silver or all black, it is not worth the money so i am jus going to get another flash phone like the benq siemens sl91

From the pictures it looks like the slider moves down - rather than the display moving up - anybody confirm this?

I've owned a 8910 for 3/4 years now and haven't wanted to upgrade (the 8800 seemed lacking) until I saw this Sirocco edition...

i work at the carphonewarehouse, and will be getting it soon as it comes out, the nok8800 is very highly desirable phone, which is what is going to happen to this phone, the only thing that put me off the nok8800 was that there wasnt video and the cam was rubbish.

I work for the carphone warehouse, but can anyone tell me why the nokia 8800 black is the same price as this new nokia 8800 sirocco with a "2 megapixel camera" £799.99. its a nokia 8800 someone stamped on and hit with a mallet. For your info the screen resolution hasnt changed a lot from what our engineer says so am afraid your pictures.... are going to look.... exactly... the same pity pity....... only 1 positive point i can think about is that the price of the nokia 8800 hundred plummets as it should have done ages ago. its heavier as well so might be useful as a doorstop or paper weight.
