Dude, 04 Nov 2016To global ROM users. is this true?Yeah, the best is if you use Xiaomi.eu firmware. This gives you the China firmware but strips 200+mb of bloatware including all China based software, adds global languages and play store. Global firmware is on a different timeline, features come late, device support comes late, every single google app is pre installed etc.

[deleted post]Seriously, Xiaomi is "a company you've never heared of"???? Xiaomi is a well respected brand and their phone are top notch,. It's one of 5 largest smartphone vendors, dmdaszstrol!.. Reason Xiaomi phones are cheap is because of a different business model, lower profit margin but high turn over rate.... If you're buying some cheap ripoff of course it will be shit, you get what you pay, just need to know what you're buying..... Also worth mentioning is that practically all products you consider "high quality" are most likely a "Chinese Phone" nearly everything is made in China or made in there and assembled... etc..

Xiaomi is only great when you stay with its Chinese ROM.
Their Global ROM is less than adequate. Too many bugs remain, updating to new version barely fix them but at the same time introduces new bugs.
Great hardware, but again, inadequate software follow up/services (for Global customers)
