Carol, 06 Nov 2016Actually, Microsoft killed NOKIA with their windows phone 8... moreFew people realize what is going on. Nokia killed Micro Fail. LOL.

Micro Fail killed Nokia Hell Yeah it did.

Nokia with famous HW was running smoothly. MS came with cheap cheap HW low specs and expecting high revenu with lack of support. Stupid MS

Why is twitter a 3* app with many people complaining about bugs and lack of features then?

Jazzergig, 05 Nov 2016Nokia killed Windows phone and Microsoft killed Nokia Actually, Microsoft killed NOKIA with their windows phone 8, and lack of updates and interest. Then killed windows mobile with their stupidity, lack of hardware release, interest in the mobile platform(again) and coverage.

If this phone would run the real Windows and not a mobile version I would consider buying it and switching from Android. And I'm a dye-hard Android fan.
Only the fact that I could run photoshop PC version on a phone makes me want it so bad.
Also I hope it has SD Card slot and waterproof.

I would love this thing if it does the following:

Runs full blown windows programs; screw the apps.
Has USB C to 4K HDMI out,
The USB C can do video out and run other peripherals at the same time.

If it can do this and make calls, sign me up.

Decent bezels, they got it right this time, lets see its battery capacity next...

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2016so many people saying it'll be a waste since windows store ... moreGood point.
I had the same mentality at first... but when I experienced short battery life (because intel processors are power hungry devices) and software incompatibility (majority of desktop app installers will NOT work on Windows OS Mobile), I started doubting its authenticity.

Let's wait for the actual product and check its hands on first.

I.m using both Android and WM10, I think some apps running better on WM10, example WA, I think has better menus on WM10.

so many people saying it'll be a waste since windows store is so empty
but if it's an x86/x64 processor, potentially you could just install desktop programs
it'd be horrible on battery life, but that's a case of finding better programs that are more "battery friendly"
on a windows desktop, the number of "apps" available is an order of magnitude greater than the ios + android combined

but more than that, we're getting to a point where the price of mobile data is coming down (at least in the first class countries)
so many of "apps" on ios and android are just a front-end for a website backend
the only difference is you don't have to fire up a web-browser first
with data getting cheap, why bother with an app when you can load it in a browser?
immediately works on mobile, tablet, and desktop and much easier to maintain
UK government IT department had this foresight and went for sites instead of apps
they found it did make the website more expensive to build and maintain
but significantly less than maintaining "apps" through 5+ iterations of each platform
apple recently culled apps no longer compatible with the more recent versions of ios
so many of them simply because the cost of maintaining and updating apps to developers was simply too much, and apple is too lazy and too money-hungry to have a decent level of backward compatibility
