[deleted post]the basic thing is that a person who have spent a lot of money for a high end phone is not ready at any cost to listen the negative points or disgracefullness for that phones. we all should b nutral and patients when discussing on such forums. android fans also speak against other os, symbian etc but i have noticed n8 fans speaking more against android u can c on youtube or any where.
2nd thing is that u said maemo is next. than it may b. bcz no one has seen the future. there was a symbian time, than iOS came, than WM participate a little and now this time is for android. may next time for maemo. its all upon companies if they feel that andriod is not giving them good money than they will shift to maeomo or any next os with more charm and apss. and most of us will b looking at our android phones in hands thinking to shift to new technology. this is the bussiness politics.

brynn, 14 Dec 2010been a nokia/symbian fan i am supposed to cheer your opinio... moreall you is searching a phone like n8 and e7 i.e very good specs but give your 1st priority to OS. if there is no flash, no good camera it doesn't matter as OS mater because all you enjoy on a phone is applications and games. samsung may records in 3gp but it records 720p and its enough also samsung know lens and camera technology beter bcz they are making digital cams etc also. htc desire have a flash, 5mp, 720p recording, htc sense (great edge) but it has a multi touch problem solved in desire hd. i think samsung galaxy will b a better option at this time if you can afford than desire hd is good than galaxy.

been a nokia/symbian fan i am supposed to cheer your opinion but i cant,,i think the n8 is just same old and underpowered and its well known nokia used that low power to save battery..Now nokia has a big lovely bp-4l battery that they could have used but did not so nokia shoot themselves in the foot again..
I have tried and rebought the n8 three times and c7 but they need to strip it down again ..I also willnot be paying 520GBP for e7 when its worth half that amount and guess what,,YES,,its delayed again for no reason whatsoever..They delayed n8 to get it right so how come they are rolling out updates when it should work..
Actually back on topic i hope these next gen proccessors with c0-graphics proccessors zip along and keep their promise of efficiency too.I was jusrt going to order milestone 2 when got a email thru with a video and its poor hd video record and poor battery and the screen is drab..So another near miss..
Is there any decent fone actually out their?? SGS has no flash and records .3gp and so on and the only fone thats impressed me in 2010 is the wave..Its slices thru a 32gb card has vivid video record/ca/sound the lot and with battery to match..It just needs a bigger scren.

i dnt kno y n8 users/fans itruded in difrnt forums on difrnt sites, tryng to write against difrnt hi end android fones. perhaps they are afraid to realise that that the app development is at ts peak for android. symban is now os of old days my frnds. its android ruling mobile world rite now. hav u not noticed that all manufactures have shiftd to android phones. nokia cant leave its symbian bcz it will b disgrace ful for him but jst trying to charm the ppl with 12mp, xenon flash etc. i think nokia shd shift to android now to b in cmpitition
tegra 2 procesrz is a grt technology. lg is not so good as smsng n htc in mobile world bt this procesr is grt. wait for samsng n htc tegra2 devices. and this dual core tegra 2 consumes v.less energy as compared to qualcom, humingbird, A4 chips. tegra2 chip is by nvidia for graphics and performance using less energy. n they have build extreme gaming netbooks using same quad core technology which provide 8 to 12 hrs of high end gameplay using same notbook betry. hope this tegra technology going to kick some good ass in future may b using android os.

[deleted post]Wow this is odd. Every n8 ive tried and tested have serious lag. It has to think about opening up the menue for lords sake. Know your either lieing or in denial. N8 is a underpowered phone with a dead system and a rubish cpu. But it does have a good screen. :) KTHXBI

if u compare android to apple u don't know anything . If u compare it to symbian you are fool because all of them are closed os and frst of all apple is based on one product only like symbian now only nokia with same specs (cpu and gpu) , second symbian has rstrictions in coding and in resolution of display . how come the nokia is only one in modern days usig old cpu-s which needs more energy then arm cortex a8 and much more then multi core arm cortex a9 for anything that last two uses a lot less . Now u can conclude that u don't know what are u talking about. Compare windows 7 and xp the win 7 is evolution of xp it has much more eye candy and other usful stuff . Android uses much more eye candy like apple but it has desktop and task menager file explorer what apple doesn't have and yes android is going to be much more optimised in later updates like symbian was. And i know that huge display wth better resolution uses a lot more battery then one nhd amoled screen of nokias n8. How can u talk about bada and maemo when u probably didn't ever use neither of them. For instance bada isn't polished in some segments like android but in others it is and for maemo it's dead os full of bugs . I used the n900 s i know what is maemo 5 and tryd bada , now i have symbian and android so i know what i'm talking about.

So, yeah i think the galaxy`s s sgx540 is more powerful.

it means android requires more power and battery life to run the same level of stuff maemo, bada, apple and symbian run you moron. people like you ruin the phone market. you dont realise that efficiency is wat its about. Its like wen windows released vista.. its required 30% more CPU power than XP to do the same things slower. That doens't mean VISTA is better.

In nenamark1 is the other way around which seems more relevant than a 2d ball bouncing. The galaxy s gets about 50 fps while the optimus 2x gets about 40 fps.

150fps is like using a Airbus 380 to go to work. The human eye is limited at max 50fps.
