I need proof that the wave can render 99mil triangels/sec. I cant find it on gl benchmark. Can you show me proof?

480x800 DOES NOT PRODUCE A 16:9 ratio! It produces a 16:10 ratio instead. Dont twist and turn the facts pls

The n8 can record at 30fps by using a simple mod. And it will aslo feature it in the upcoming software update.

Dlna is software, not hardware. It can also be implemented into the n8 through software update.

The n8 can utilize virtual ram. So the REAL total amount of ram could be higher than 512mb.

          Super Amoled
          480 x 800 pixel resolution (16:9)
          Hummingbird 1GHz Processor
          GPU of 99 million triangles
DNSE - Digital Natural Sound Engine
MDNIe - used in all Samsung Televisions
          Wolfson Dedicated Music Chip
720p video recording at 30 Frames
          DLNa
          512 mb Ram

I'm sure the N8 has advantages over the Wave but all phones have there good & bad points, the Wave in my point of view has more good ones than bad and having another OS on the market can only be good for competition and for the consumer.

The age of an operating system doesn't mean much when you have good tools to develop with. Infinity Blade on iOS, XBL on WP7, Angry Birds on Android/Symbian. All good games made with good development tools. Clients for videocalling. Bada has yet to even add this. So I'm patiently waiting to see this new SDK.

Manas@Wave, 21 Dec 2010Hi Makssen, I agree symbian has more applications in its... moresymbian is about 9 years old. But there are a lot of branches in symbian os (s60v1, s60v2, s60v3, s60v5 aka symbian^1, symbian^2 (used by doco moto) ). Symbian^3 being the latest in the family and it is only 2 months old, but already has a great selection of apps. If you say ovi store sucks i recomend that you visit it again. There are a number of great new apps just waiting to be downloaded. Ovi maps sucks? Hahaha! U make me laugh. I bet that you have nvr used ovi maps be4 (which apparently helped the n8 2 win the best satnav phone award)!

In case you havent noticed, the nhd resolution (360x640) produces a 16:9 ratio and this is crucial for the n8 since it is considered as a multimedia phone. And there is no limitation to the symbian os resolution, take the e90 internal display for example (i 4got the resolution)

And wats up with your continuous bashing towards nokia and the n8? Insecurity perhaps? :)

I agree symbian has more applications in its store as its more than 8+ year old OS though BADA is merely 7 months old. You can't expect from an infact like BADA to grow as faster but one thing is sure it will grow & run...but what about an old outdated OS like symbian it wont run for a long...!!! :)

Every OS has some pros & cons & some limitations...You will see that application developers will now onwards give equal importance to BADA with IOS & Android & Symbian will be the past in coming future!!!

The hardware of the N8 alone already has the Wave beat. Bada doesn't support a lot of things in the operating system that others have, but they are evolving so that makes sense.

That's all my opinion anyway. Bada is still a good platform, no one is knocking that.

This looks promising. The only thing I look for a smartphone is its multitasking abilities, the other features may be just a consolation imho. Symbian and Bada delivers the best multitasking among other OSes out there in the wild.
