Even though sales in China & India are low, Apple overall has the biggest profit of any other company.

What happene when everybody produces high end smartphones for half the price of Apple iPhones

If this article is correct then evenually the iPhone sale will plateau out
    That was Tuilpmania
You can't expect people to pay premium prices and offer them miniscule upgrades and starting from behind the other flagships

Apple increased the iPhones 6 dispaly to 4.7" it simply reissued a tweaked iPhone5

So a person was essentially using the same phone after a two year contract
happy to pay less being suppled by the amny Android suppliers

That's normal. Upgrades to the camera and SoC aren't enough (and he fact an iPhone 7 exploded because they are too thin doesn't help too.) The iPhone 6 at least had 4K support up from 1080p, a new size, and Apple Pay support. If Apple wants to make better sales, they have to bring something actually new. The Galaxy S5 had great sales because of all the new features like fingerprint, waterproofing, 4K support, really new design and all the new things they added. Now, excpecting that, they release a 300$ image book with 260$ of profits to Apple.

sure it might look ok when you combine all the android companies together, but why would you do that? fact is still that most android companies sales are down, not growing. Even Samsung sold 10 million less phones last q than year ago sametime and let's not even talk about companies like sony/htc/lg. all in big problem.

fixed it for you, android devices isn't getting better and better and most of android flagships are failing in sales. Only reason why android still growing is those cheap lowend android phones which was very well proven by the fact that Apple collected 104% of profits last q, because most android companies actually lost money. high end phones=biggest profits

Premium smartphones sales maybe in decline, partly because there are so many great reasonably priced phones coming along that offer far greater value.

Personally, as an iPhone fan, only two phones excite me. The 2017 iPhone 8 (rumours indicate revolutionary cycle instead of evolutionary), and Microsoft Surface Phone, (if they get it right, it will run native Windows which in my book makes it the greatest mobile gaming rig after Nintendo Switch). Not sure anything from Android world will be game changing.

I understand that iOS is not perfect & after using my G5 for a few months side by side with my 7+ I can see a few things that I would implement into iOS (file manager being one).

It does seem really strange that nearly all manufactures have taken a year off really changing their Smartphones & we constantly read of big & innovative ideas coming for next year.

Apple I can kind of understand as next year is a big year for Apple with the 10th Anniversary of the iPhone but it seems that Samsung thought 'We want to dominate the Smartphone market so we will rush out the Note 7 but wont change anything to drastic with the s7/s7e as Apple are not changing anything to drastic on the 7/7+'.

We will have to wait & see what next year brings. We know that LG are not going to produce a similar design to the G5, Samsung are working on bendable screens & Apple are looking at built in fingerprint scanning technology on the screen. Could be a big year.
