Hey dude you say N8 cant handle its own OS? really are you sure or you're just one of the trolls in the Nokia S^3 smartphones' forum!?
N8 runs smoothly with the 680 mhz because it also has a powerful Broadcom GPU. Many of you are complaining of the 256 MB RAM! Well as you know Nokia N900 is the multitasking beast of all smartphones. N900 has 256 mb RAM also! Nokia put what you called virtual memory. (700 mb virtual memory.) It will be used when it is really needed. so it is like you have 1GB of RAm! That's the fact behind it.

Not a big fan of Nokia but the N900 is some serious stuff. Shows that Symbian is severely hampering the company

I don't seem to have much luck with nokias. My n900 is at nokia high level repair centre lol. Meanwhile i bought myself a Samung Galaxy S - so far so good. Am i right in assuming that installing android software in the n900 could result in it being sent back to the high level repair centre again? How come nokia don't have their own people working on this stuff??

There is a mistake in the text: I'm orthodox and I celebrate Christmas like every one on 25th of December. Only some of the Eastern Orthodox Churches are celebrating Christmas in January.

whoa! android OS for Nokia?
but N900 has 600mhz cpu on... moreYou can't just compare 600mhz...800mhz...and 1ghz...
It's like saying Desire 1ghz is faster than Desire Z's 800mhz, wrong, Desire Z is faster.
Different processors perform different speeds.

I can't believe how happy i feel reading this post, this goes to show how Nokia took real steps toward unlocking technology where everyone else started to lock it again...

whoa! android OS for Nokia?
but N900 has 600mhz cpu only, right?
so i guess, it might not run as smoothly as compared to others.
