I'm convinced now, I'll definitely grab one soon! 'til my salary comes haha!

the price of iphone is almost twice than that of n8 but still does nt have a camera on par with n8 but u still praise it. are u guys for real!! u should b complaining this to apple instead of finding shortcomings in n8.

If you don't give a shit about sharpness, dynamic range, low-light or flash performance but only on "is the colors over-saturated by default?", then yes, the iPhone4 is superior. In all other ways it's not.
You could increase saturation on the N8 to you know, if you want everything to look unreal and punchy.

I love the Nokia n8, do I think it is better than a lot of phones out there, no it can't be compared. I have an iphone 4, nokia n900, nokia n8 and nokia e5, each of these phones are special in their own way. Nokia gives you what you want and let you customized the phone to how you want it. My n8 is awesome and I can't compare it to an iphone or any other phone. I am the type of person that can do without the sub-par features of phones. Emails,pics,instant message,web,phone, and the ability to hack the software and I am happy. For all of you people that are talking down on nokia for not updating their O.S. are not cell phones fans. Nokia is the top company they can not afford to go with an android platform that is unstable and put out updates every few months(but small companies can). The iphone is only popular in the U.S. many times I had to pull out my n900 and sim to get service in places where the iphone is a brick or paper weight. Nokia not selling millions of phones in the U.S. is not a problem but for iphone and other carriers it is a major issues(Can we say Verizon iPhone 4, 2/2011). I started with Nokia and their phones never let me down not once. So I would like to say job well done Nokia for selling 4 million units. I am happy with my unlocked iphone 4 but I know that Nokia should not be compared to Iphone, the customer base are completely different. Android vs Iphone is a better debate. The iphone is loved by U.S. and Nokia is love by many countries, to change an O.S. overnight would be suicide for Nokia. Nokia continue to give us technology the wright way. To the person who said Nokia users are losers why are you posting it on a nokia review. So you took the time to open your browser...type gsmarena .com click nokia and post comment and submit...Ha Ha nothing left to say.

Did get n8 two months ago, then my wife, then my son, who changed from apple 3g. Very happy with the phone, with the best camera and gps/maps on any phone.

Nokia N8 is a big fail. They needed to make an N8 with Meggo about two years ago to compete with the iPhone.
In fact the N8 is not even an iPhone 2G contender apart fomr the 3G connectivity. iPhone 4 has been prouved to have even better picture quality. Megapixels don't count after all if the camera doesn't afford the details.
Now to be simple, people buying Nokia are loosers and there are pretty many loosers out there who will like to show their looser phone. So 4 millions, about one quarter of the iPhone sales are finally possible.
I personnally would not hire someone using a Nokia smartphone. It's just like people used to MS-DOS on PC. They've made their time !

this thread is just amazing. It's supposed to be about a nokia N8. instead the discusion seems to be about the relative merits a various phone manufactures. Although I personally am a nokia feature phone fan I do not discount the value added by other manufactures. I especially like manufactures that continue to experiment and bring new devices form factirs to the market. An example, LG created a cell phone watch. I doubt if it was succesful BUT it's an innovative product that gives us consumers more options of what to buy. what bother me is when an oraganization like US network providers stops inovations like have voice calls on a small tablets.
For all those loyal brand fans out there PEACE. Let others celebrate there market success.

I wonder did Motorola V3 came out first or t... morenokia n91 jackass in case you forgot 2002-2005 i believe. i had n91 best sounding amazing phone ever.i now have n95 now and both phones have stereo speakers w built in 8 band eq also manually adjustable bands.and dont even get started about the camera in both devices.they torture moto and everybody else for that matter with the carl zeiss lenses REAL LENSES unlike motorola.
