I see that they made a deal with Samsung to take a bunch of the excess Note 7 parts at a discount and put them together to make the iPhone 8.

You know what is the only real thing missing to an iPhone (except from a less restrictive OS)?
A Micro-SD SLOT. It's been more than 10 years 99% of all the phones ever made had an SD slot or at least a variant with one (like the Moto G1). Just put an SD slot or UFS or whatever, if it is not proprietary technology, then iPhone sales will literally be breaking the charts. iPhones have the hardware (except from AMOLED display variant or maybe less ''shatter magnets'' screens, and maybe a QHD display would be great), they now only lack removable battery, a more decent OS and an SD slot or whatever.
Because right now, I don't think wireless charging and AMOLED display will be significant enough for people to make them buy the latest iPhone.

If you are on PC, you can always use the desktop or web version of your messengers and not to mention u can still use your phone for messaging while wireless charging. I don't use my phone while charging with cable anyway since i don't feel comfortable doing it. So it's definitely a plus having wireless charging.

Isn't it older than the 3.5mm jack, so why keep something so OLD! ..when you have wireless charging!

If I don't use them and they are on a table I can set them on a charger.
You still have a cable for charging and when you battery is so dead then you can use it when you need to make calls. But the most of the time you don't use your phone and it's on a table it can charge on the wireless charger and these things don't cost nothing. I got mine for for free cause the guy who gived me one didn't want money cause he bought it with 1-2 euro from aliexpress.
