I have this phone and the iphone 4 and bouth are great , great cellphones from differents needs thats all, the n8 have better phone functions and off course camera and connectivity, the iphone is a powerful multimedia device , better for web surf, better applications and games , better mail experience, we have to admit apple its not revolutionary and pioneer , but when they do something , its very well done , and there not just fart apps in the market, symbian os is very cool, admit customization, and have many many cool stuffs , the only thing that i hate is the web browser , really sucks

At the end , iPhone still beats N8 in terms of sale figures.
I never heard people line up overnight to get N8.
But people, all over the world , did it for iPhone.
And no sign of slowing down iPhone sale.
I never heard people crazy for N8 except those handful of guys over here.
But millions of people , around the earth planet , crazy over iPhone.
And APPLE will repeat it again and again , NOKIA fanboys will cry foul over and over again.
                  Tsu ! Tsu !

Show me a TV with 3000x4000 resolution(12 MP). I do not care to see 720p videos on my HD TV. If I really want, I can connect the HDMI to my laptop, anyway I never download movies directly on my phone, it's always via the PC/Laptop(I have an SGS but this goes for iPhone 4 too)

"Yes you can, there are cheap FM transmitters for iPhones or 3.5mm output jack for any phone."
-Doesn't Apple have an iAccessory for that?? Inbuilt transmitter is 10times better than an external cheap one.."
Have you test it yourself? See internet user reviews of the N8. LOL.I have the last generation FM transmitter from Belkin for my SGS and I do not see how the FM transmitter of the N8 could be better.

"iPhone 4 has a LED camera flash which is better than the N8 xenon flash(check on the internet)."
-Comparison of LED and Xenon flash: Xenon are still better than LED in any condition..

I do not have neither iPhone 4 nor N8, but I read some reviews stating the opposite, I do hot have time to look for them now.

"let me know when you need more than 16/32GB memory on a phone..."
-Since when did the view changed?? The last time I remember when Apple launched 32GB version, the view was, we have 32GB of storage.. Now that somebody else have capability more than that, the tone changed??"

I don't get it. I think 16GB is more than enough for a phone, anyway.

                    ""No USB OTG.."
who cares? I did not see a USB card in ages."
-Lot of us still do.. We even use of phones as USB devices to move data.."

Lot's of you still use a horse and carriage to travel. BTW, everybody transfers data via e-mail, or uses the web(Youtube, Facebook). And I never find it difficult to find a micro-usb cable to transfer data to/from my phone.

"-You know that Maps can be downloaded via WiFi so that you dont have to get charged on the mobile network?? The google maps on the iPhone and Android does it the same way.. I have used Nokia Maps and it doesn't give a huge bill at the end of the month.."

You know that you I have no national data transfer limit on my 24 Euro/month contract? Also, do you know that now Google maps has a cache size up to 1 GB.

NOKIA is in this industry since almost day 1.
(Don't forget that MOTO sue NOKIA and NOKIA settled out of court with MOTO in the past.)
Any recent start up mobile company has no choice to use existing technology which is already patent by existing player.
The fact is that Apply willing to pay the royalty fee to NOKIA,but NOKIA wants more than money and want to have proper under license for APPLE's all time most famous UI.
                      NOKIA is too greedy.

Iphone is for show only. Eg Facetime - what a joke. It works only over wifi. Well done Apple for taking a 5 year old phone feature and making it completely useless. If you have access to wifi, just use skype.

For the person who is comparing Iphone 4's TV out to N8's HDMI out - are you serious??? Not going to bother trying to reason with you, maybe you are stuck in the 90's.

Another fantastic example of Apple's 'reliability': http://mashable.com/2011/01/01/iphone-clock-bu/ Iphone 4's alarm clock is on the blink. Hardly a big deal I admit, but really highlights how ridiculous Apple can be. Can't even make an alarm clock that works?

N8 is SO superior to Iphone 4 in terms of functionality when people come here to write blind statements it really paints a bleak picture for the future of the human race.

Apple sued over privacy in iPhone, iPad apps
                              by Lance Whitney

Apple is being sued for allegedly letting mobile apps on the iPhone and iPad send personal information to ad networks without the consent of users.

Jonathan Lalo, who filed the lawsuit on Thursday in U.S. District Court in San Jose, Calif., alleges that Apple's iPhones and iPads let ad networks track which applications people download, how often they're used, and for how long, according to a Bloomberg article published today.

Specifically, the suit alleges that the ad networks are able to trace an iPhone or iPad using the unique device identifier, or UDID, which is a number specific to each unit that can't be blocked by users. Claiming that sending personal data without consent violates federal computer fraud and privacy laws, the suit is seeking class action status on behalf of all Apple iPhone and iPad users who downloaded an app between December 1, 2008, and last week, according to Bloomberg.

Privacy concerns over mobile data have heated up lately. Last week, a Wall Street Journal article asserted that mobile apps send certain information without the user's consent or knowledge. That article helped light a fire under the Mobile Marketing Association, an industry group that is now calling for new, more transparent privacy guidelines to tell consumers what information gets sent to advertisers and how it's used.

Along with Apple, the lawsuit names as defendants certain mobile apps, such as Pandora, Paper Toss, Weather Channel, and Dictionary.com, Bloomberg reported.

The Journal article had specifically mentioned Pandora, which it found was sending age, gender, and other personal information to ad networks, and Paper Toss, which the paper asserted was transmitting UDIDs.

An Apple representative told CNET today that the company declines to comment on the suit.
