The Best Phone i ever used. I had to compromise on Android for getting this phone. But now i feel i had made the right choice.

Meego will be on phones, tablets, computers, in mall kiosks, in vehicles and more. Needless to say, when Meego releases, it's going to be a real serious competitor.

Meego will DOMINATE ALL OTHER OS'es when it comes out! Android & Windows Phone 7 will not stand a chance even though they are good OS'es. Why didn't I mention Ios you ask? Simple, Because it's not a real OS. Ios is not on any other phone than iPhone therefore making it an Apple Proprietary Software instead of a true OS. Once other manufacturers put that uncompatible software on their then crippled phones, then it will be a true OS.

like my sister got her son a learning toy from vtech and they are using Qt as the interface

And to help developers, Nokia is developing Qt to support Symbian. So, I don't see why Nokia would kill Symbian now that it closed Symbian Foundation to take development of Symbian in its own hand and invest lot to include symbian development in Qt..

Varun, 01 Jan 2011if nle nokia embraces android nd replaces symbian..Android is already soo fragmented and the customization by every manufacturer on Android has made it very difficult..
Moreover, Nokia is investing a lot on Meego and is working closely with Intel to make Meego a very responsive and feature-rich OS for Mobiles\Tablets\Netbooks..

Only problem is symbian is dying out, despite the fact that it will get the version 4 update. Sure it still has some good software, however in terms of variety, it has already been left far behind by android and iphone. If you buy one now, don't expect anything new, or exciting to be released this year.
It's a shame really, I liked symbian, but nokia and other developers became complacent with the OS.
