The Xiaomi Mi Mix is finally here and the real screen-to-body ratio is?

It could burn your face if you pick up a call while you've been playing a game for 10mins. It's good design though but I'd rather the screen covers to the bottom rather than up.

Undoubtedly, it looks elegant and stuff but Sharp was the first one to bring out this kinda bezeless display phone before Xiaomi. Just pointing out. Would need a case to protect the beauty though if you're among those who care too much. Eagerly waiting for the full review, especially a video review in full HD or 4K resolution.

Looks really nice until you drop it. People will get armour for this thing and it'll end up looking like any other regular bezeled phones lol

That's the thing with thin bezels, they are always there to remind you of their usefulness.
The same cannot be said about other things like the camera or water-proof*ness*... Despite how useful they may be, they are not constantly used.
That is why companies should go Mi Mix's way, probably fixing the little bugs on the way.
Function over fashion ... it may not look that good (especially after a week of constant use, but it's greatly useful)

"The edge-to-edge screen is certainly an attention-grabber, especially at the top and there is nothing like it on the market right now." -- Sharp pulled off a similar feat years ago. The bezel-less wow factor was certainly there the first week, but after that the effect starts to wear away and then it becomes just a normal phablet again, albeit a super fragile AND slippery one.

Gsmarena, might I recommend you to report on not just the relative bezel size, but also the absolute bezel size in terms of millimeters? I personally find this a more relevant statistic because it is the real constraint on the difficulty of the engineering. Xiaomi cleverly made this device huge to achieve high relative bezel size numbers (i.e. screen-to-body ratio), but their absolute bezel size numbers are likely not all that special. Also, please report on vertical and horizontal bezels separately!

I think GSMArena did the right thing: clear things up.
Many companies try to impress customers and sometimes they lie (not tricks, pure lies), to make the headlines, or just to have something to say. Xiaomi can say all they want, but the facts are there, and mathematics do not lie, as humans do.
But, nevertheless, it is an amazing phone to look at.
The rest is pure Xiaomi: a nice skin over Android, that gives the occasional bug, and may have some problems that will never be solved; like blurred photos on many Xiaomi phones, heating problems on the Redmi 1S, stability issues on the Mi4i, etc...

A phone with hardware bottom keys has the same screen-body ratio as one with software keys ? I think not, because the soft keys take space from real estate. So , do you take this into account ?
