I want a Smartphone with a title of " Brick Phone" .. I don't care about the specs. I don't care about the battery if it's removable or not. As long as it could last for 2-4 days. As long as the phone could last 2-3 years. Don't care about the new release phone every years from some greedy Fruit and greedy washing machine make. I'm good with nokia with their best in quality phones, IM SOLD !

Nokia should do something new. Something different than normal android rat race of specs.
Something innovative in camera and screen technology. Something that would set benchmark.

AnonD-425820, 06 Dec 2016My wish list hasn't changed. A clamshell style flip phone, ... moreYou've found another of your type right here.

Definitely voted for the "Go wild!" option. We need new or heck even old stuff to the mobile world. Haven't changed my phone in a long time, it serves me well, and haven't found literally anything that I WANT. Back in the old days there was lots of stuff you would want even tho it you would be OK with your phone as is.

Heck I've stopped even customizing Android, kinda accepted phones to be boring as of now. I used to make themes for my feature phones back in the days.
These times have to come back frankly

My wish list hasn't changed. A clamshell style flip phone, decent camera, Android, and actually available.

Either N900 shape with bigger screen or N9 with bigger as well

Nokia in my mind: unique mil std810g scifi hi end device (phone/?). There is a lot phones now, maybe it should be something more like surface phone that may be pocket computer with pen, awesome camera and AI. AR device would also suffice as future device. But it would be probably too much for them.

                  Lots can be said...

Well, to begin with, HMD needs to make smartphones AND non-smartphones (Series 40) again.

For non non-smartphones, a very good idea is to make a phone as a truly successor to the Nokia 6233 with similar and better technical specs than the Nokia N82 and Nokia 515. Such phone would be:

Series 40 operating system that will be fast responsive like Nokia 6233.

Camera: 5 megapixel WITH Carl Zeiss optics (Tessar) and autofocus, and LED flash, face detection, panorama, VGA video recording with 30 frames/second on MPEG4, front/selfie camera with 0,3 or 1 megapixel.

Display: 16,7 million colours and a bigger resolution (over 240x320).

More specs: Wi-Fi, Quadband GSM and Quadband 3G (850,900,1900, and 2100 Mhz), hot-swappable memory card, STEREO speakers, etc. I can think of more to add, but given all these, that phone would be very good and useful, especially for people who are not interested in touchphones, or smartphones in general... It would also have a very affordable price!

Nokia 6230, 6230i, and 6233 were very highly successful phones and a successor to those would be a huge seller! Also, the nostalgia would help too! ;)

Why is everyone so hyper about the camera? Oh, I know: Facebook.
They are all selfie addicts who desperately need for others approval or like. Geez that's lame.. That's the definition of pathetic actually :))
I'd rather have a 1.5-2 cm thick phone, with stock Android. NO bloatware, waterproof and SD card slot. Top of the line processor and GPU are implied.
And if you make that phone cameraless I'll buy 100 on the spot!
I've deleted the camera app on my phone by the way :D

For me, i LOVED Nokia's lumia design, they just standed out in a world still full of boring black/gold/metal phones+ they were indestructible, but i understand that the wp catastrophe is too fresh in peoples mind and doing an android phone lumia style could affect sales.
Nokia should totally make something to stand out, a photocentric phone can work as nokia has exellent experience in these category of phones.
A "go wild !" Smartphone is a huge win or lose strategy, it can destroy everybody or it can hurt Nokia, so i suggest keeping that for a special series.
Value-for-money phones can be a dangerous adventure since manufacturers are LITTERALY slaying themselves there.
For me, i hope HDM releases a phone that complies with Nokia's values, especially "human" phones, not those lifeless slabs we have nowadays.
PS: i still know that whatever phone they release, i am gonna crave for any slab with "Nokia" on it.

At this point I don't see what Nokia has to offer than could possibly make them compelling. They had their chance and blew it. The only way they can make a come back is to have 15000mAh battery in a thin 7.1mm phone with 6inch, 95% screen to body ratio screen, that runs Android and has a sylus that's as functional as the S Pen.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2016None above. Make something practical and affordable, meeti... moreSymbian can not be revived just from nostalgic reasons. No one made Symbian applications during the recent past. Per statistics, most of the people likes Android and iOS after. Despite Microsoft's press conferences, Windows does not represent an alternative anymore having 0.5% of the market (and failing).

It'd be great to see a Nokia with full physical keyboard and hard case. If camera would capture great quality photos then I'd fall in love with such device instantly.

A music focused 4.7incher would do. with massive amount of storage and a good processor.

To me, a new Nokia shall be a modern replica to an E7 side slider:
                                    - physical keyboard/side slider,
                                    - SD 821, 4GB (maybe 6GB), 64 GB,
                                    - 5.5", 2k
                                    - 2 SIM (eventually 1 SIM combo with microSD card),
                                    - buttons only on the right side, maybe power on top (not like DATEK60),
                                    - auto-focus good quality camera (missing on E7),
                                    - powerful stereo speakers (maybe JBL or Harman), 3.5 mm jack,
                                    - Stock Android,
                                    - Price shall be up to $500.
Direct competitors I can see: ZTE Axon, ASUS, HTC, Blackberry, One+, maybe Alcatel.

I loved the final version of Symbian, but Android is a must at this point just for cross tech compatibility.

I want small. 3.5" screen or smaller. I had a 5530, and then a 700, and I loved that they fit easily into pockets, purses, anywhere. Yet they were solid enough to take a beating for years. I would, for fun, demonstrate to people that you could drop a Nokia and it would be just fine, while all my Apple loving friends gaped in horror. I ran that 5530 over with A 3000 POUND CAR and, other than a cracked screen, it was fine. Installing a new screen was easy.

If my 700 hasn't been showing its age at three years, I'd still be using it. I've been waiting for a year for a decent replacement. So please, Nokia, don't forget those of us who want small.

Whatever the design, they need to focus on a few tiered devices and support them properly for 2.5 years or 2 to 3 updates.
