AnonD-322352, 17 Dec 2016Massively improved is not good enough. They're still organi... moreSee. And there it is. This is the issue. You are not simply saying oled will suffer burn in and nothing else.

We wouldn't all be here still if that was the case. It's because you made it sound a lot worse and when we pointed out it wasn't you began further arguing the point and getting defensive and acting out in denial.

And here it is. You are not just claiming it burns in. You are acting as if the tech is weak, the burn in a wide spread issue, a guaranteed issue that effects all and very quickly, as if burn in and degrading are something that happens in a short span and for sure, and as if lcd doesn't have functionality issues too.

But then you claim.. Oh I'm just saying burn in happens and I want to be careful...and oh English is not my first language. If that was the reasoning behind things you would be trying to reason more. But your point and intentions are clear. Very child like and single-minded

OLED issues far outweigh its advantages. Plus, most of LCD issues can be seen instantly once you unbox your device, giving you chance to return it immediately. You can't do that with burn ins since they only come out much much later.

And life span of them has been vastly improving.

Seriously go a few posts back and you'll see me talking about major disadvantages of the former. That's good that there are many people that never experienced getting burn ins on their phones. However, that's just for burn ins. What about uneven aging of the subpixels and other drawbacks?

"The argument has always been that, burn in is not very common. You continue to say burn ins happen... implying... you don't comprehend what you are even saying."
Please read this a few times. Just because I said they happen, doesn't mean they happen all the time. That was my point all along. Even though it's rare, I am being cautious as a consumer and am not taking any chances with an OLED panel.

Once you stop saying "they happen" and tell us something new, then you got something to say. Still, most people aren't experiencing these burn ins throughout the life of their phones. In fact, many devices sporting 5+ years old OLED displays don't have burn ins, and many of the anecdotes on this thread alone are only making your "complaints" weaker. Again, I neither said burn ins never happen nor said it will not happen to those 5+ year old OLEDs in the future.
