The screen resolution will be the same - 1440p - but there will be a lot more subpixels on the matrix.

I work in a phone shop and it happens to all the AMOLED demos and the reason is because the demo software keeps the screens on constantly and is repetative. Under normal use, this doesn't happen, just ask my 3 year old Galaxy S4 - still as good as the day I bought it and still my daily driver.

Your argument is massively flawed. This is not even funny anymore. The fact remains, AMOLED burns in. If you're now just talking about facts, you should now that the O stands for organic. Like all organic matter, they age, deplete. Getting burned in is in their nature. Now it's down to whether or not you're lucky enough to have your phone replaced before it happens.

You think I was cherry-picking the graphs? In denial much? L. O. L. If you don't want to waste time, you would've ignored and ended our arguments a long time ago. Just be honest. You're making up facts. I went with Anandtech because they're the most unbiased review site.

Just Google "AMOLED burn in", and you'll see a few results about complains of burn ins.

At least I have anecdotal evidence, and the fact that there aren't people covering this massive issue. So where's this fact of people being distracted so they don't cover this massive display issue? Stop pulling facts from you know what.

So you got source from 1 place. Didn't even bother with 8 or so graphs Anandtech usually deal with. I'm not about to go and link all my sources because that would be waste of time. If you've read more than 1 source.. you can tell people to read more.

If getting burn-ins is like a game of chance, there actually would be articles of people complaining about burn ins. Statistics. Logic.

It depends on the UI. On devices with stock UI, burned in app drawer icon is the most noticeable because it's both white and static.

Getting burn ins is like a game of chance. I'm not willing to take that chance.

Um, no. 2014, iPhone 5c*. 2015, Mi Note Pro**.Stop pulling facts from your rear-end. You don't even have sources to back up your claim. You should read a lot more, lol.

I don't know. Ask yourself. You kept bringing that up.

Did you not read my comment? People don't cover them because they get distracted whenever a new phone comes out.

AnonD-322352, 13 Dec 2016Yes, the lifespan of a screen is important to me. It's not ... moreMost of my OLED devices have been without burn-ins for 2+ years and still counting. Most common is on-screen buttons and notification bar actually. But Samsung and few others don't use on screen buttons.

You don't change the brightness unless you need to. Most of the time I leave mine on auto too. Again, no burn-in, nor am I afraid. So you're still just compainy.

Welcome to accurateness this year LCD, because OLED had been most accurate for few years until this year, I guess.

Why would I be salty about your stupid analogy? loooool

Actually, if it was that common, it wouldn't "just be a disadvantage" that show up in 3-4 years. People would've covered them.
