dave, 11 Jan 2011Yeah but has it been said that the galaxy s will be getting... moreDon't expect 2.3 on the galaxy S. To be frank 2.2 was released primarily to fix bugs, which it has essentially done. Since I upgraded my gps is completely fixed, and its alot speedier (still a little laggy cause of file system, but lagfixed it soon after).

Its sompletely in samsungs interests to 2.3 with a new dual core handset or on a galaxy successor. Besides, the Galaxy S doesn't support a few of the improvements made in gingerbread like NFS.

I like 2.2, I was happy with 2.1 and don't expect nor are samsung obligated to give 2.3.

maybe they having some issues with the new os.
having an os upgraded too fast has its own set of problem.
but so far, the effort put in by google in android platform are VERY good. they growing faster than any other phone os maker/builder.
