seriously..its stuck not stock
and its not googles fault SE doesn't provide updates .. i bought an SE XP10 when it came out and it was running 1.6 while 2.1 was already out and it took 6 months for that patch to come through while people had already managed to root it and run 2.1
if its possible for a tech savvy highschool kid to port 2.1 onto the device and run it flawlessly, why did it take SE so long to provide compatibility?

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2011sorry but this is not fair .. everyday new version of andr... moreDude thats how those bastard company's make their money, how long will it be before the nexus s is history just like the g1 or what's happening to the galaxy s.they make newer software but don't make it available for the older modles so that they can get you the consumer to purchase the newer handset with the newer software its all a marketing strategy and we are all falling in it.

Google is updating a bit too much imo android 2.2 was a great update but I'm now running 2.3 and I honestly can't tell the difference (except for the graphical changes) but those can be done with android 2.2 as well.

Androids big issue (after its initial success) will be to ensure every android smartphone owner (regardless of phone manufacturer) gets reasonably timely updates. If google fails in doing this, the initial success will just as quickly melt away. I see this as google / androids next hurdle to overcome.
