LG partners up with Apple, Google, and Microsoft to develop foldable display panels

LG is good at many things; batteries, display... moremaybe it's only LG who will work on the project, in exchange of the foldable LCDs maybe they want Apple/MS to develop their OS much more better and maybe LG wants to make IOS, AOS, WP one(it should be an outstanding OS[for me])/ maybe to be compatible with each other.

What make you think they can manufacture it for Apple and Microsoft and even Google? LG wont ever be able to be a supplier, not even 2 years from now, not even 5 years. They cant even put amoled on all of their phone. Let alone producing foldable display in large quantity that only Samsung able to pull off.

Why should we fold our phones line a newspaper? ... moreits not necessarily to bend the phone, the purpose is that we(people) bend/cracks/folds the screen display easily(i.e. whenever it is inside your pocket, you did a sudden duck[phone size is 6"/5.5" and your pocket is too small to fit the phone in and you hate bringing a bag/stuff where you put you phone on]some scenarios like this)

Got one for spare and is sealed because the original stands for almost one week (I must confess,no wi-fi or gsm data but with non official rom and rooted)

                                what if it were really Apple and Microsoft who were asking LG to make a foldable Display because they are already on the peak of achieving it? or maybe it's ready for release and they wanna sell it to Apple/Microsoft since they are the top achievers in terms of software developing.
                                I just thought about it, don't take it seriously.
