They will love Sony's software. It's simply the best Android software because it's like AOSP but more stable and more power efficient. I use several Sony phones before current S7.

Too bad because Sony is now focusing more on advertising their phones worldwide and when they reach the peek of being the best selling smartphone brand in the world, Samsung and Apple are going back to their caveman days

AnonD-491921, 22 Dec 2016well 12 MP camera with Optical Image stabilisation and Bigg... moreonly in wiredmode.. wireless is only aptx up to 44khz vs sony's LDAC up to 96khz.. sony covered both wired and wireless playing High quality sounds backed up with their superior headphones than what samsung has to offer.. and samsung is not top notch in audio.. they have long way to go before competing sony's audio.. sony's rivals are audiotechnika, sennheiser, JBL, bose, etc.. samsung is not on these league..
and those technology on samsung is only a gimmick.. heart rate sensor, S-apps, iris scanner for note7.. but fingerprint is faster than iris.. heart rate sensor can be gained thru smartbands which sony does sell and is waterproof aswell... sony does have counterpart on everything but more premium quality.. that's why their accessories for xperia is far ahead than any brands.. you might want to argue VR, but vr isn't as good as ps4 remoteplay game rosters.. and if we want vR, then i might aswell use it on Playstation not on a smartphone which is halfbaked and trash roster of games..

start of the marathon, samsung went ahead right away leaving others behind, but they shoot themselves in the foot, and get passed by sony, its nice that sony has a good sales this year, not because im fan of it, but beacause its healthy for the competition, i would not like that there will be only samsung vs huwawi vs oppo vs whatsoever chinese company in the future.

When it's Sony's success, a lot complain and bash them. Wtf do you guys really want? Can't you just accept that the XZ is the best flagship phone of 2016? The statistics are already saying it. If you are truly open-minded people, you would just accept the truth that Sony outperformed Samsung in late 2016. The Note 7 would probably be a competition to the XZ if the battery issue never existed

And still maintain the other two sensors from the XZ. That would be a total camera killer of the year. The mere fact that Sony is now focusing on advertising their products starting next year means Samsung and Apple are in a difficult situation against Sony this time. Even though Nokia is coming back, Sony's real magic would undeniably be better

If AMOLEDs are supposed to be the best technology, then why are many other brands still use LCD despite their capability of buying an AMOLED panel from Samsung? In 2017, Sony would adapt a new OLED technology from JDI, a joint force of the biggest Japanese display brands including Sharp, Panasonic, Fujitsu, and Sony. That technology would be superior to the AMOLED panel that Samsung is using. Samsung may have the best AMOLED display on a smartphone right now, but only Sony and its co-relative brands in Japan have the access to the best AMOLED technology in the world.

They deserved to be more popular. Currently, I have a Sony and this is the best android experience I ever had. Solid hardware, the Xperia UI follows the REAL Android look, not iOS! ;) .Fast, clean, and smooth android with great battery life. They keep up with the updates, 4 Sony phones are already on Nougat. No other brand could do this fast, aside from Google. (lol) This is really what I need, not gimmicks and half baked features.
