Nokia does not even provide good quality headphones. Even not so cheap C7 has w102 headphones which are very basic and available with 2-3 k phones. Higher end headphone are no better only look good bot not good sound quality wise. Sony provide far better headphones even with cheaper phones. I think nokia should think about it. I have to buy after market headphones, thanks to 3.5 mm jack though....however handling calls to these MP3 player only headphone is not possible.....

In terms of audio quality, the ultra cheap Nokia 5130 can beat any Walkman/Samsung/Iphone/HTC phone.
Deal with it. Read the reviews if that bothers you.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2011N91 is nothing, compare to W "The Nokia N91 has been praised with an impeccable reputation of the best sounding mobile phone ever produced (the majority of stand alone portable music players can hardly compete with it either).[3]. The N91 has louder, deep bass, rich sound with perfect low and mid range frequency which has not been achieved by any iPod or Sony Walkmans.[4]. Test conducted, the N91 wins over iPod Nano in its signal to noise ratio, output power at full volume, and output at 10–100 Hz.[5]."

So, N91 is the king in music!

LOL@people saying Nokia has bad sound quality. N91 is the benchmark in audio quality and has the best sound output among all mobile phones. N8 has better overall sound quality than iPhone 4. Go to mobile-review.com. They made an audio test pitting N8 with iPhone 4 and Samsung Wave. N8 came out on top.

I think this step will not make much difference in Pakistan. Nokia charged the customers in Pakistan for full price for its phones, but did not make the music downloads available for customers in Pakistan.
Pakistan has the sixth largest population in the world with more than half the population using mobile phones .. and above all, Nokia is the most common mobile phone here.
I think it is time that Nokia should take care of Pakistani customers.

SFAN, 17 Jan 2011Nokia, I hate to say this but, you fail.
Ovi was never a s... moreYou do know that Ovi Music Unlimited (OMU) is a service not Ovi itself. And Ovi Music is like iTunes. Both are selling DRM free music. Ovi Music is NOT OMU. OMU is a service that gives you free download of copy limited DRM music files for one year, but they are not the DRM free mp3 files that Ovi Music sells just like iTunes. Ovi Music (Nokia's iTunes) isn't going anywhere. It's one of the biggest online music stores.
And then there's Ovi Store for apps. You do know that Ovi Store gets 3,5 millions downloads a day and it's been growing fast. One billion downloads mark is probably achieved on February. And the new Ovi Store is easy to use, but I bet you haven't even used it. Just today I have downloaded 5 GOOD apps from it. My N8 has about 100 apps already. That's pretty good for a "failed" service.
And only an total moron thinks that Nokia should jump to the Android bandwagon. It would be suicide to Nokia. It's better to have your own OS, just like Apple has, than to compete with cheap chinese Android clones. Besides Android isn't that great of an OS anyway. It's buggy and power hungry. I guess it takes time for OS to mature (or many years of cumulated knowhow about phones) and Android is quite young still.

phones fan, 17 Jan 2011may be because meego still not ready, and when it become rea... moreYou've got to be kidding. Meego have zero apps compared to Android? Meeego can run Android flawlessly, therefore, all the apps on Android can work on Meego. Android doesn't have the kernels or tools necessary to run Meego completely. They have video of the Nexus booting Meego but it doesn't show it running also the HD2 has video but it's sluggish on that. Meego has loads of support. Being 2 OS'es combined onto the COMPLETE working Linux OS makes it a serious developer platform and a major contender. Check out some of the videos on youtube on Meego as well as some of the info from the Linux site on Meego to find out more. Android is great but Meego will be a major contender.

You guys do realize that Nokia is ending Ovi Music UNLIMITED (which is DRM protected) to make way for a better non-DRM Ovi Music Service.
