"Nokia and the music companies used MICROSOFT DRM technology, nothing to do with Apple at all."

Except Ovi Music is DRM free pay per track or album. Just like, you know, iTunes.

It's amazing - and a bit sad - how many people are confusing CWM and Ovi Music Store.

Not every Walkman that I heard sounded that good, the best "W" was the W995, and now I think that the iPhones and the Galaxy S are some of the best sounding phones.

Nokia cannot blame anybody but themselves - started with a flurry of excitement, great selection, then faltered with poor software that just got worse, non existent customer response and zero marketing effort. Should go down in history as a great case study for how to miss out a golden opportunity to expand into new revenue streams with a 40% market-share!

So, let's see...the FREE Nokia service had how many music downloads in the last six months?? 44 ?? So, is it fair to say the pick-up rate was, hum, less than satisfactory versus the service was DRM'd out of business??

Nokia's marketing is just abysmal... It's even worse than Microshaft in this market...

SFAN, 17 Jan 2011What is drm? DRM = Digital Rights Management.

It's used so content providers can (try to) protect their work.

It's mainly just an annoyance for legitimate users.
