You can buy yourself the most expensive Samsung or Apple phone and buy a 20,000 mAh powerbank and will cost last than this overpriced phone. Considering how fucking thick this phone is, they at least should've added a 3.5mm headphone jack. I'm going to burst in tears if Blu rebrands this and sells it for 400 squat.

Also the main camera seems to have S7-like specs, with addition of secondary lens. Mix + match Samsung's and Apple's tech? Idk but let's hope it's also true.
And last with the OS I hope Gionee prioritize this phone to upgrade to Nougat. Oh and software optimization will complete the list, too.
If those items are ticked entirely right, maybe the price will be justified enough.

Absolutely ridiculous! Is that pricing a joke or what? If this phone was launched at April 1st, I would have thought that it was an April fool joke. I wonder what they are drinking over there at the Gionee labs in China, this ridiculous pricing shows delusion and ego within the ranks of Gionee, they think that they will just slap an upper mid-range chip, a high internal storage, a huge 6gb ram and a large 7000mah battery and then the Gionee M2017 deserves the pricing of a small car.

wait. so... this must be made out of some luxurious materials or something, right? like those Vertu phones. because otherwise there is nothing special here, safe for the second battery. the SoC isn't even the best available at this price point. and an additional internal battery isn't worth a $600 premium. and what's the difference between the $1000 model and the $2400 variant? surely more than the storage? not even Apple charges $1400 for their storage options.
some crucial information must be missing here.
on another note... not sure how people feel about 2 batteries stuffed into one phablet after the Note 7 saga
