Jobs would eliminate bezels and make the phone 4.5 inches so that to retain one handed use without sacrificing much real estate (a bezeless 4.5 incher is as small as the original iPhone in profile).

New Apple had a different approach on phones. They think it's better used by two hands (hence being slippery with giant bezels). So it's irrelevant to contrast Jobs era and new Apple, two different companies...

        Sebstin, 27 Dec 2016Perfect.. 4.5", 5" and 5.7" to cater needs of all folks..Its funny, now 5" and 5.7" screen size is perfect because apple is doing it, but other smartphone companies have being offering these sizes, but they were too big , not one handed size . So yes it's perfect for all folks not because of apple , but because its common sense

                      I like my iPhone 6. I hear they will be coming out with another one 2017. It's that good of phone they want to keep making it over and over. Cool that they switch things around like camera angles and stuff, keeps it from getting boring. But yeah the all new iPhone 6 will be called the iPhone 7s. neat to change name too!

                            But they could change stuff in order to render older accessories useless (like, they don't fit)....

                                    I think the body dimensions of the newer teased iPhone will be exactly the same as the older generation ie 7 and 7 Plus but this time it will be reduction of bezels, fitting 5' into a body of 4.7' and 5.8' into 5.5'

                                      Not that I'd ever buy a iOS- or OS X -device, but why not go directly to 6" or bigger with reasonable bezels? It's possible to make a identical device as a 5.5" iPhone but 6" or bigger screen and still keep the same dimensions.
