Yeah right. Ask every Android user there and they will say they will revert to Symbian if they will change phone units.
Come on, Android is a generic OS, it will be not 100% working on all devices. The reason why Nokia hasnt ditched Symbian because Symbian is bug-less not bug free (all OS has one) but all of Symbian's bugs havnt come out yet.

Anyways back to this comment. Someone mentioned symbian rocks.. Erm. R u serious or did u mean symbian used to rock way back early 2000. I used to have symbian all the time so i can have apps like IR remote control. But since android came out ive not gone back to symbian as android rocks. And about the sms fail, ive got a sgs on froyo 2.2.1 and have no bugs at all. And noway was i waitin for orange to bring froyo update so i flashed my sgs over a month ago ;-)

[deleted post]Oh right, it has to be that symbian is almighty, thats why all manufacturers have ditched symbian except for Nokia themselves.
Woah, a tech site reporting that symbian foundation is rumoured to close down. Hmmm... Okie, like the saying goes, good thing comes to an end. Go worship with your symbian phone before it turns legend.

Is this fatal sms-bug only for Android 2.2.1 or is it for more versions 2.2 and 2.1? Do I dare send any more sms, and could this be the reason my boss said he did not get my sms? Is this a problem for all Androids, Galaxy S and HTC Desire and X10...?

it is sad to see that the supposed to be one of the best if not the best company like google is failing their nexus line... even though there is an update.. there shouldn't be releases like the first one at the first place...

[deleted post]Symbian totally sucks, but I agree the sms-bug in Android should not be called just a "bug" but a fatal stupid failiure. It is just as bad as if the phone randomly would call any of my contact instead of the one that I think I am calling. This, and all the update-kies-problems... with Galaxy S, have made me decide that my next phone will not be an Android. Android may be open and free, but it is just as buggy as any amateur Linux-version (ubuntu) made by "high-scholl-geeks". not professional programmers. My next phone will N9 or IPhone5. Symbian E7 is to big with a useless 360x640, Symbian must have larger than only 360x640 before I go back to Symbian again.

One of the main reasons I sold my Samsung Galaxy S was because of this msg bug. I remember sending something to my girl friend and one of my friends got the text instead. Thank god it wasn't too bad, but it happened again with also minor damage. But this was completely unacceptable.
