All phones and OS systems have bugs.
The question is, how serious are they.
My Android 2.1 phone has problems with yahoo mail showing old mail after it has been deleted. This is a transient bug. It comes and goes.

My old Nokia 6234 had memory management problems. It shrank to zero eventually. I was unable to even send or receive SMS's. Even after deleting all old texts, games, pics etc. The Nokia repair centre cleared the memory and the whole process started again!

My old windows 6.1 phone could not receive MMS, when I went to the inbox, it tried to create a new MMS! although creating and sending MMS was fine.

The browser in my Nokia 5230 is far from bug free. On one web page showing live bus times( In Leeds, UK, where I live) When I enter the unique Bus stop number, instead of showing the information I want, the browser interprets the Bus stop number as a phone number and tries to make a voice call to it!

Yes theyre ditching Android in favor of Bada. You scared? Samsung got all its fame from Android. In the past no one cares for a Sammy. But now they have learned their lesson. Theyre switching back on Bada which is waaay better than Android. Samsung's Androids sucks in customer satisfaction and support. Thats a fact. Google is falling down.

Megalord, 23 Jan 2011Oh right, it has to be that symbian is almighty, thats why ... moreOld news..

                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbian_Foundation
(Following "a change in focus for some of [the] funding board members", the Symbian Foundation announced in November 2010 that it would transition to "a legal entity responsible for licensing software and other intellectual property", with no operational responsibilities or staff.[5]. Along with this announcement, Nokia announced it would take over governance of the Symbian platform. Nokia has been the major contributor to the code, and has been maintaining their own code repository for the platform development ever since the purchase of Symbian Ltd., regularly releasing their development to the public repository. After the transition completes in April 2011, the Symbian Foundation will remain as the trademark holder and licensing entity, and will only have non-executive directors involved. All Symbian Foundation public web sites, wiki and code repositories were shut down on December, 2010[7], and on that date Nokia launched a new Symbian site.)

"Oh right, it has to be that symbian is almighty, thats why all manufacturers have ditched symbian except for Nokia themselves."
Adroid is also been ditched by Samsung in favor of Bada. You know Samsung right? It's the second largest company in mobile phones' market...
Doesn't it make sense to not use a competitor's bread and butter platform?

                            Anonymous, 23 Jan 2011ATRIX & ARC & OPTIMUS 2X & SGS 2 & DHD , VE... more10 reasons why Symbian is better than Android
1-best voice quality nokia best battery nokia about the fail and death of Symbian mobile operative system. Apple iOS, Android or even Microsoft Windows Phone are now in better terms with blogs and press. Despite the loss of market share, Symbian phones are still having a good number of sales. Sure, there are a lots of things Nokia can do to improve the system, but now, I want to give you ten reasons why I think Symbian is still better than its natural rival, Android.
*.Price. Android phones need more processor power and internal memory, so they save money on other materials and components. With the same amount of money, you can buy a Symbian phone with better materials and hardware features than any Android device.
*.GPS. Ovi Maps are far better than Google Maps. It is not needed to be on-line to use Ovi Maps, and you can get guided voice directions anywhere inthe world.
*.Camera. Usually, Android phones donot have dedicated camera buttons, including the controls on the touch screen. Sensors, optics and overall camera, video and picture quality are worse than their Nokia counterparts.
*.Battery life. Symbian was designedfor a low energy consumption. Symbiansmartphones have a better battery life than Android ones.
*.No data plan required. Today it is becoming more and more common to contract data service to use it on your smartphone. Symbian devices can be used in this way, with a permanent connection, but it is not needed, you still can use most of it without one. Android phones are more “internet” directed devices, almost every Google service needs a connection.
*.Form factor. There is little difference among Android models, vast majority are touch screen phones. Nokia Symbian catalogue has touch screen models, sliders, full qwerty and every usual form factor you need.
*.Support. You do not buy an Android phone. You buy a Samsung, HTC or a Huawei device, and guaranteeand support are done by those companies. Nokia has the best support service worldwide.
*.Fragmentation. There are different Android versions, sometimes with overlaying manufacturer or network operator software. This fragmentation makes difficult for programmers to adapt their creations to different screen sizes or Android versions. As a result, you can buy and download a non working program from Android Market to your phone.
*.Privacy. Android ‘with Google’, includes the usual Google apps. This company already has a lot of personal information from its users derived from the search engine. I am afraid to give Google, or any other big company, my mobile information: search, mail or location. With Symbian you are not relying so much on Nokia, for example, I have the option to use Ovi Store without having an Ovi email account.

The reason Symbian stil uses the 360x640(which is twice the previous resolution of 240x320) is to keep the 16:9 ratio and to avoid fregmantation.
