And, S40 is not Symbian. If S40 is Symbian it should have basic multitasking abilities which the S40 currently lacks (though it can have thru a hack).

[deleted post]actually, yes my nokia c3-00 does this ALL THE TIME its an s40 device but still a symbian. and its not like its an old device like a 5300 its newer so this shouldn't happen.
at least when google sees a problem they fix it and send out updates unlike nokia. nokia is becoming more and more un-reliable.
i also had a nokia n81-8gb before and BOTH cameras stopped working after loading it with music. i even sent back but they never fixed this problem and it was pretty common in that model. and for a $400 device somthing should have been done. but nope nada...... nothing
so when it comes to device problems please, PLEASE never bring nokia in to the conversation because they have a list of many many MANY problems with their device and never fix it.
i tell you nokia will be forgotten unless MeeGo is awesome and releases soon

Okay now Symbian Fanboys, stop pulling our legs down. I am an owner of E90 and optimus one. And you know what? Symbian Suck! Big Time!
1. You brag about your "battery-saver" OS. But you forgot to mention the specs! of course E90 equipped with 300mhz will have more battery life compared to optimus one with 600mhz processor. Duh?!
2. Did you mention browser? How do you like your browser hanging up each and everytime it loads a full detailed website? -1 to symbian
3. What about apps? Did you mention how many new apps are introduced to your market? -1 symbian
And last words, I can say that what goes up, must go down.

Its not a choice where samsung would choose between the bada and android: its designed bottom up a bada phone. Samsung has developed bada and there has to be a phone that carries the bada OS, such is the wave.
Wave was popular but was never as popular as the galaxy s. Looking at the market share from both OS would tell alot.

Also, do you know what bada was meant to serve? Its not a alternative to android, and was never meant to be. Are you seriously thinking that if Samsung were to embrace bada 100%, their upcoming flagship phones are still on android? And do you actually know the ratio of the upcoming bada phones compared to android phones from the same company?
Dude, stop your hallucinations and face the facts. The well may be small and comfortable but its time to get out and face the world.

It was an answer to this:
"Oh right, it has to be that symbian is almighty, thats why all manufacturers have ditched symbian except for Nokia themselves."
so it wasn't me who brought Symbian on this convertation.

Symbian's popularity was wiped out by Android. No other company other than Nokia wants to use it now. Symbian 3 is too late...
With Android's many many updates, this OS will remain fresh. As for Meego, we'll wait and see....
