I am very disappointed that the 835 doesn't support 4K@60fps video recording!
I am waiting for this feature for several years, and being disappointed every year again and again!

    1. Why not make the 835 at the same physical size as the 820, and by that, making it much more powerful, and maybe finally fulfilling my dream of 4K@60?!

    2. Would any of 2017 SoCs be capable of 4K@60 recording? Huawaei Kirin 970 / Samsung Exynos 8895 / Apple A11 / Mediatek Helio X30 (or X35)?
If yes, I would be ditching Qualcomm at a second!!!

I just hope they upgraded their Audio DAC significantly.
It's one of the areas they most need improvement.
An S7 Edge with S820 fails to a four year older Note 2 with Exynos CPU and Wolfson DAC.
Samsung could have used a better amp int the S7 but it would not have gave it better audio all around.
          Four years older......

When are we gonna see a 4K 60 fps capable video recording GPU? In 2019? I think thats the best time to purchase a smartphone nonetheless, altough the improved display color rendition is awesome.

so looks like processors will be smaller, will have better efficient, less heat and 25% better gpu? So looks like no improvement in processor speed, well, glad i bought my OP3 as looks like we will not see any huge improvements in processing. Lets see the most important thing - flash storage, if they gonna have any faster flash storage. If it gonna be same old UFS 2.0, damn, 2017 will be boring.

Ah guys guys. Now now, dont be a fools.
                          1) 2,45ghz is higher than Sn820 or Sn821
                          2) It will have 1.9ghz on other 4 cores, probbably a53 or costume made.
This in general tops Moongoose build in multi core department. Since ram isnt a big factor for antutu, giving 6 or 8gigs wouldnt means so much. It will come down to optimizations in phones.

1.I think we have reached the stage in semiconductor technology from where only diminishing gains would be possible.. So I have no problems with the "minor" upgrades.

                                    2. SD835 with 6GB/128GB should be the norm for 2017 flagships with some manufacturers even offering 8GB/256GB.

                                    3. I am still hoping for a quad core SD830 with 2 performance cores @2.7-3.0Ghz.

''the Snapdragon 835 which would let phone makers build devices with cameras of up to 32GB in resolution''
Looks like all those years I was fooled by everyone. No one told me we measure a camera's resolution in bytes! I was foolish to think it was in pixels. Anything else people didn't told me I should know about?

Anyways... Unimpressive specs. SD 82x won't feel like their devices are outdated, neither an urge to upgrade. Next-gen Exynos has to be very impressive (like, that 3GHz Octa CPU) in order to compete with this year's A10 (Android SoCs are always one year or two later than Apple's chips, multi-tasking apart)
