It's funny how people said s5 was a failure because of plastic but premium s6 sold the same amount and premium s7 barely did better. One thing for sure S8 with higher pricing than its predecessors and just after the note 7 situation will not be selling much more than s7.

As a result it is much more pleasing to my eye than boring rows and columns of icons of a design I find personally ugly. In addition, it means my phones are more efficient and faster to use.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2017If you think that's smooth, it means you've never used a Wi... morei have both an ipad pro and s7 edge, and naturally the phone is loaded with multiple apps..whereas the realtively new ipad with just 6-7 downloaded apps freezes over like tundra...ios is not without its problems, noone opens up..check apple forums...granted touchwiz is not the most graceful of UIs but you're probably referring to the s4 touchwiz..i prefer sony's approach

all manufacturers learnt that 'mistake'... when people fall in love and feels satisfied, they refuse to change, which means newer models can't sell... that's why some old and reliable models are still being used till today...
so manufacturing something that makes people change is the way to go...

I don't think Samsung will catch this number... At least not with this prices (not in first year and a half).
This phone may be good, but Sammy is loosing it with overpricing, and more and more buyers now are aware that Samsung is bot only Android out there... Even in US, where typical choice was iPhone or Galaxy (all Android ware under thtat name), buyers now look more to China... And there are Google own Pixel.
Samsung is to experience loosing market share soon.
If Sammy made up to 50M, they should be super happy
