korbindallis, 12 Jan 2017Tells me what you know about the company judging it on ages... moreI know that i've also owned the W902, I know that Sony is not the same without Ericsson. and yes I'll admit, I hate sony now. (in making phones particularly). look i'll be fair, they make the best Speakers (also car speakers the best) and TV's and Digital cameras and that's about it. They fail terribly in manufacturing laptops and phones. And there's nothing that can change my mind at the moment. I've demoed the XZ at the shop and took a few snapshots and it's still uncomparable to my dead LG G4. it really makes you shake your head that Samsung and LG and many many phones manufacturers even the chinese Huawei uses SONY camera sensors but it sucks on their own phone?! doesn't that defeat the purpose. it really makes a person say: WT*!

The way Sony/Samsung mainly reduces the burn in is pixel frameskips which is unnoticable to the human eye but it increases the lifespan significantly and reduces burn-in chance. As the brightness of each pixel decreases, the current supplied to each pixel is increased proportionally so that the brightness takes much longer to decay.

Mobile is another story, because of people buying new devices every year or two.

Lcd hdr 4k TVs and monitors are top flags right now. Even for LG, THE oled maker.
Mobile screens are sth entirely different, oleds are prefered by some for gimmicks like edge screens and stuff, but have their serious shortcomings, visual strain and longeivity being one of most annoying.
Mobile lcds have their shortcomings also but indeed a lot of advantages over oled from users perspective.
There will always be people who prefer lcd, and those who prefer oled.

Furthermore, this two company have and will dismiss 3.5mm earphone jack, the only difference is iOS and android.
