If the XZ's LCD can easily compete with OLEDs, just imagine what will happen if it has OLED (which will happen next year), definitely a disaster for Samsung

I will say I love IPS more than OLED, OLED is not a comfortable display for reading but good in video, I don't play video on such small screen, furthermore Xperia also have very vivid color and high contrast on playing video. Whatever, the next Xperia's OLED will be solve all the Samsung lacking.

Well OLED is cool but that is not Sony's future because CLEDIS is the future for Sony and they have started to put in the techno conventions like CES and others in 2017.
Sony is entering the OLED because it doesn't want to get out of the business and lose that's why it is entering OLED and Sony knows that a lot of people want the company to enter the OLED market with their phones and TVs and same goes with Apple because her and Oculus bought the Micro-LED companies. Micro-LEDs are coming in the market 2-4 years and until then OLED will rule plus Micro-LED layed the foundation of Sony's CLEDIS and Samsung's QLED

Oled being better than lcd is only a samsung mobile fan rant.
Each has its pros and cons, experts agree.
Still, best TV and monitor screens today are indeed hdr lcds.
Sony uses superb lcd tech still.

AnonD-528139, 12 Jan 2017they're way way behind the game. they're the worst phone co... moreso the last model you owned was from 2011 and you call yourself a sony fan? sony`s the best. they may be conservative about change but that's because they want other manufacturers to deal the losses of a backfire (like Samsung note 7 and the exploding battery shit) . when the time comes sony implements the new stuff flawlessly and they work better than on any other model. The fingerprint sensor for instance had a ton of problems on the first Samsung line to implement it. Sony took their time and made a flawless sensor implementation. there are many other examples as well ;)
