It still doesnt change the fact that Pentile screens were alot better than LCD ones and still are.

Pixel uses Pentile, Galaxy range uses Pentile and even Mate 9 Pro will use amoled and will probably be pentile now name me a phone with an LCD screen that is better than any of those phones displays?

AnonD-488766, 12 Jan 2017Ohh u mean making it lighter like Sony's has been for years... moreHave you seen the amount of features in Touchwizz compared to Sonys? It was always the more feature rich version so if it suffered lag it wasnt an issue for me considering how much more it can do compared to sony devices.

Now its lighter and keeps those features and adds more its all good.

You do realise Stock android is the lighest

they're way way behind the game. they're the worst phone company and that's coming from a die-hard sony fan. (the last Sony i've owned was the Arc).

I use the phone a lot in landscape mode and that's when you understand they are very important. As longs as they are symmetrical it's all good. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's that simple.
From my point of view they can ditch the selfie "look at me im desperate for attention" camera and just keep the proximity sensor.

Sony can just use the discreet slit speakers it used on the Z2 and shave a few millimeters on the bezel. The top bezel is only worth it if the camera sensor of the front and back is large.(like what Sony does, 1/2.3 for the rear, 1/3.06 for the front)

Hahaha Sony that's a joke isn't it. You introduced OLED in the 1st Gen PS Vita almost the same time as the to Samsung Galaxy S2. 3 years down the line you changed the PS Vita from OLED to LCD screen telling your consumers that people will not notice the difference and how it is actually better etc.

And today for TV & mobile you are eating your words by telling us another story? Please kindly take note that all the OLED & LCD rubbish are told by the same 1 person Kaz Hirai. I'm Wishing you all the best.

Sony is the best. No affair, problems with battery, its very good phone for the prise. Camera on auto mod is not good but in manual is better. Sony will be always the brand, other shows and disipear after some time.

                      WRGB oled.
There was a wrgb oled 5inch screen introduced by Sony.in 2015.
Oh Man, there is so much oled info out there that you get lost easily: copyrights, techs, costs, sizes....
Anyways, no matter the tech, all Im personally interested is longivity of that tech which is inferior to lcd.

Nah, Sony, keep it simple, just give us HDR LCD and were fine. :-)

I feel sony Xperia model c5303 is a good mobile. But somehow is not good as I have been facing power problems. It will not work without charger into plug always. So many customers are facing the same problem. Can we overcome this problem.

I'm a Sony fan and I have to say I really don't care if they still use LCD or move to OLED. As long as it has natural, non-saturated colors, the battery drain is less and there are no burn-ins (I see many ppl saying this but I never witnessed it) they can go ahead.
Since using LCD phone, when I use an OLED display (Samsung phone), after a while my eyes burn a little, but I love the black on it.
Frankly, is Sammy would ditch Touchwiz, I would buy the S7E. Till that happens I'm gonna be in team Sony., enjoying my vanilla stock Android, debloated to the max: 105 system apks :D

One of the advantages of PenTile displays is that they last longer. In fact today this is one of the major reasons Samsung are using PenTile for high-resolution (over 230 ppi) OLEDs.
