If they want to compete in this fast paced smartphone world then they have to be quick with releasing their products at a fair price or else no one will even bother to look in their direction.

So its including alot for the 7.1.1 update whereas Sony aint adding nowhere as much features.

Color reproduction is not great, though. The average DeltaE of 5.8 is decent, but there is a pronounced blue cast to white and gray. Other than that, out of the primaries, green is off the most (DeltaE around 10), and cyan is far from the truth as well.

Sunlight legibility, on the other hand is superb. High quality LCD displays have been getting near AMOLEDs in this respect, even if they can't quite match the best of them. The Xperia XZ is on par with the iPhone 6s, and a little short of the iPhone 7 in contrast under direct light, but the LG G5 and especially the HTC 10 are far behind.

Shadow Snypa786, 12 Jan 2017Pentile rubbish?? Go read the Samsung S3, Note 3, S4, No... more1. GSMArena is an OLED fan-based, just by looking at their phone reviews. They were even disappointed to see the iPhone 7 & 7 Plus having only LCD display. What do you expect? The most overhyped crap, even if crap, would stil be the choice.

                2. It's Samsung's fault for not using OLEDs correctly. OLEDs are obviously better than LCD, but Samsung failed to make use of that superiority of technology. Even their S7 Edge's display looked worse than Sony's 2015 Z5 Premium 4K display. Pentile is totally rubbish because it only has one sub-pixel whereas LCDs have 2. For a 2K display, the S7 Edge is one of the worst. Why? About normal human eyeview and you can easily see the individual pixels of the display, and that's what people say "the best?" How pathetic. I wish people knew more about technology than this. Sony's superior image enhancement is clearly better than Samsung or any other competitor, and their TV division proves it a lot

It is business here so an estimation and control when the display burns out is tremendously valuable, that is why all phone and TV manufacturer will move on OLED, making you in the end buy a new phone and TV every two years.
