Anonymous, 17 Jan 2017All these components you listed probably costs $ 50 togethe... more$50? Keep dreaming. At least 7 new features if approximately price $20 each cost $140 altogether. S8 entire cost €850($909). So, minus the $140 made it $769 which is what S7 edge cost without all this new extra features.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2017That is too expensive for a phone that will be an unusable ... moreNOW it's too expensive? LOL. It's been "too expensive" for me since Galaxy S1. At those prices, might as well get an iPhone.
But obviously it doesn't stop people from buying them. In many countries, everytime Samsung put a pre-order on their latest S series, they are always sold out. Obviously the prices are still "too low" for the demand.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2017Please do not drop the price at all. If you are a business, and people are buying your products, why would you reduce prices?

S8 800++

S10 1000++
COOL!Why not? If people are still buying them, more power to Samsung.
Samsung is increasing the price point for the 2017 A series as well.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2017That is too expensive for a phone that will be an unusable ... moreUnusable brick? My Nexus 7 (2013) has stopped receiving updates for more than a year and it is perfectly usable.
People assume that when a device stops getting updated, then it is time to throw it away... Stupid logic.

That is too expensive for a phone that will be an unusable brick after only 2 years when it stops getting any Android updates, and apps like Bank ID... will no longer be usable because it only works on the latest most secure version of Android!

Considering the Ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 I pre-ordered cost £700 GBP. I really can't see how Samsung could possibly justify £200 more for a slightly bigger screen, 2-4gb ram upgrade and SD835 or
Exynos 8895.
If anything Samsung given the Note 7 fiasco should be lowering S8's price to win disenchanted Note customers back!

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2017It would be funny if Apple released a phone more innovative... moreThats never gonna happen.Tim cook lost his bonus because iPhone sales declined for the first time since iPhone.So probably he will throw everything at next iPhone because who dont love bonuses.

Well, I wanted to buy the S8 but if this is true? Not sure anymore - I hope they put a 1inch sensor in the camera or something. Then sure.
