badguy, 17 Jan 2017wandering if you willl have 15GB of ram or 17GB of ram or 4... moreYES! Apps would stop loading from storage as everything will be stored in memory eventually. That's the great thing with Android and Linux, even when you "close" the app (get to another app) it remains in memory and thus later recalled.

Having absurd amounts of RAM means ultra fast every day performance. It's the most important thing in phone fluidity. Look at this speedtest. A cheapo Chinese phone DESTROYS the $800 phones all because of having more RAM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

This will sell more than th S7. Contrary to people complaining about prices, Samsung Galaxy has become a status symbol, thus many more people will buy it at the higher price, until the new Note comes out.

Since when consumers care about security? Updates? The fact that many Android OEMs get away without providing updates show that consumers don't care.
Just look at the data from Google about the shares of different versions of Android.

Are you deluded the s7 and edge had the best cameras on the market until the pixel came along and scored 89 on dxomark...the new htc is said to use the same sensor as pixel so that might take 1st or 2nd until s8 comes out and spanks the competition again...

Only a nut company would price their flagship cheap. You will have issue raising your price next time, especially if cost of making the phone goes up and you can't break even cos everyone expect you to make cheap flagship.

Which is more than the cost of a couple years more of os updates, especially when you don't care about optimisation and don't mind bricking devices and making the survivors run really slow.

The main concern is how secure is android compare to iOS if Samsung is selling this @$1000 and above ? And whether they can provide timely updates just like Apple?

Does it even matter at this point? If you're willing to spend 800 on a phone, what difference does an extra 50 or 100 dollars make? The value for money argument should be discarded after you go over the 500 dollar mark.

And to be fair, the Samsung phones are probably the most well made on the market right now. Slamming the Apples newest chip and IOS on a galaxy phone would be a lot better than the current iPhones in my opinion.
