You say there are Not updates at Htc ??? Hahahahahahahhaa. !!! You are very wrong, clueless and talking from your mad imagination. Htc gives a lot of updates !!! And not talking about the audio quality on headphones, wich is the most exclusive advantage of Htc above all brands.

Too late. Motorola is already a brand lying on the ground in the ashes of former glory.

Their good 2013-2015 run was because Google allowed their engineers and designers to call the shots. That's how you make good phones. As soon as 16 began, the layoff rounds began, and whoever remained was forced to do whatever samsung was doing.

To the author of this article :

"Lenovo is known for being a company that can turn a business around as we have seen with IBM’s personal computers. Since 2005 IBM ThinkPads became Lenovo ThinkPads and the Chinese company is first in sales all over the world.

Yet that didn’t work with Motorola. "

Newflash : that didn't work with IBM either. IBM Thinkpads became Lenovo Crappads (For those who don't ©®). Anyone following Thinkpad news has been painfully aware of this for several years already.

Conclusion regarding your article : the problem isn't Motorola, it's Lenovo. Anything they touch turns into crap.

Grow up Fanboy. Personally I don't have anything gainst HTC. They make great phones. But certainly not deserving for their price.

We have hard earned money. Why would one spend $200-$300 for very midrange hardware like Standard 13 MP camera, Standard 3000 mAh battery, Total lack of Software updates when you can get Mi 5, Zenfone 3, OnePlus 2/3 at similar price range with at least some features better than HTC midrange phones.

Is Lenovo trying to revive kodak film era company where corporate culture at Motorola despise Lenovo's takeover. How many us companies survive since e-commerce started?

It day released with symbian belle which finally allowed portrait keyboard. The N8 I owned I will not deny had great hardware and the best camera on a phone in 2010, and yes had great features like mentioned play via radio which I think it was originally called, free ovi maps, hdmi out and connect phone to your TV.

Maybe if they continued to developed symbian things might’ve been different yes, fact is they didn't, I remember reading something on My Nokia Blog, (which was a good blog if you're a Nokia fan) about how one of the top Nokia excecs at the time apologised how the user interface of N97 was not up to scratch. The N97 was the turning point, great hardware just crap s60 software.

The ovi store was quite good for that time period as well, some great games and apps. I also have in my draw an N9 64gb which is a bitter sweet thing since it was so good just no support. I don't get why no one has picked up on the idea of that os in swipe gestures.

Lenovo is no6 in smartphone business now.. I think that's great..
                              Because, no1, 2 are Samsung & apple.
Coming to no3, 4, 5 its hauwei, oppo & vivo.
All these 3 brands are top 3 in china, that's make them 3,4,5 in worldwide.
Without Chinese market, they won't even in top 8 list..
                              .
But, Moto and lenovo doesn't have market in china.
They are no2 in a lot of emerging markets, after Samsung, peoples choose lenovo.
                              And thats the victory.
                              .
Lenovo is concerned about US & EU. Thats not a easy task at all
. Because 70℅ of market is now under sam & apple..

Lenovo should focus on their vibe brand, rather than trying to bring back Motorola.
Vibe Z, X, P series were awesome devices, and now hearing they are stopping vibes and focusing on moto.
                                  Dead is dead..

AnonD-436505, 18 Jan 2017People left Nokia after that piece of crap N97, so many inc... moreYour experience is quite different from mine. I started Nokia AFTER the N97. My first Nokia was the C7. A gorgeous looking device, small, Symbian ran terrific on it. I bought it because I need call-recording (which Nokia's do out of the box) and MS Office Outlook-syncing (due to privacy concerns I can't put my contact-list on clouds). These needs were completely fulfilled with that little device. it even went better. The onboard FM-transmitter allowed me to play my music with any car (or van) that drove (which exchanged quite often). The multitasking was topnotch (always had my claculator at hand) and ergonomics of that device is fantastic. Proper call and hangup-buttons, Long slide to activate the LED-lamp, brilliant!

Then I exchanged the C7 for the 701 wich was even better. A lot faster, more ram and a better Symbian. The 808Pureview was for me the icing on the cake. It had everything of the 701 plus a fantastic camera that today still better than my current android phone (galaxy S5).

the only reason why I stopped using the 808PV in 2015 was because of my bank. They never had a Symbian app but I could use the website with the phone's webbrowser until they changed that into a javascript pos and forced customers to use their "phone app". Needles to say that this phone-app is iOS or Android (not even Windows phone).

Otherwise I'd still be using my 808PV. The best phone I ever had. Sure it didn't have the HD-screens of others, nor the raw performance. But it's multitasking is unparalleled, the use of buttons is vastly superior then any other screen-only phone, the FM-transmitter is even today unique to Nokia's smartphones and in the case of the 808PV a fantastic still image camera coupled with a very loud loudspeaker and awesome audio-system. Just record a concert with an 808PV and compare it with a recording from any other smartphone. Day and night difference in favour of the Nokia.

Unlike you, I was VERY happy with my Nokia. All of them.
