Ngatijo, 25 Jan 2017Why Xiaomi still use same LCD display for the RN4 Snapdrago... moreThey have to cut down on something, they're already offering quite a lot for the price. If not for the blacks, I still prefer lcd over AMOLED due to LCD natural colour emit. I know you'd say AMOLED saves battery but snapdragon 625 is already there to take care of that with it's 4100mah. On paper, these combination between them shouldn't disappoint. Also AMOLED only saves by inch not much. I would also include that this only works on dark wallpapers.

Why Xiaomi still use same LCD display for the RN4 Snapdragon version, instead of using AMOLED to improve its display quality and battery performance?

Atanu, 20 Jan 2017I've read almost all the comments here since the morning of... morei understand you. but try to hear what i have to say:

xiaomi ruinedthe neq rn4 625 not because it's not more powerfull than the 3 pro.... but because they are so stupid to MISS the opportunity to adopt an AMOLED display for this latest device!!

ok people wants POWER.... and 625 is less powerfull than 650 but.... if you consider 25% better battery life... people would have been convinced to upgrade their note 3 pro just FOR THE AMOLED DISPLAY, and trust me a lot of people want amoled... amoled is the new king.... amoled is the future, people like me wants TRUE BLACK PIXELS........ and a phone with amoled is always better, specially in this case.

in thiscase SOC makes 25% better battery life, AMOLED chould increase by other 10%20% the battery life.... so at summary the potential benefit in battery life can be 40% about instead of just 25%

Nokia did good back in the days because they didn't have to stretch much on the software, just put in symbian and roll them out, no updates. Atanu, 20 Jan 2017I've read almost all the comments here since the morning of... moreWhatever the case maybe, these chinese have to price their phones at a reasonable price inorder to get on par with the MNC sharks. I honestly believe that redmi note 4 looks better and is built better than redmi note 3. Performance wise, redmi note 3 could possibly be better but battery wise, redmi note 4, on paper specs, should outlast redmi note 3. Now having said that, redmi note 4 isn't inferior to redmi note 3 because what I've seen so far on comparison reviews between the two, redmi note 4 had better camera and a relatively performing chip. SD625 doesn't get stomped by sd650 as most of you are presuming, both comparatively pushes good performance if not great for this price bracket. Like you said, the present redmi note 3 don't have to upgrade to redmi note 4 not because it's less of a performer but because there isn't much difference between the two. Lastly, snapdragon 625 on other phones are going for double the price, so if you're thinking to buy redmi note 4 then do go ahead. Because even if you push your budget upto 15k, you won't get better chip so the option is very limited anyway if you're running low on budget and you can also always buy the redmi note 3 if you think it's way better than redmi note 4.
