Most people here is hater of Xiaomi. I owned Mi max and Redmi 4 primi, camera is above average in good lightning, while in lowlight is below average. You want to go Lenovo? don't expect too much in software update. You want vivo? pay more but the performance is same in Redmi note 4 SD version. The problem that I encounter in Xiaomi is that battery. SOT 8 hours, my eye is already dry while playing games. The problem is how you will kill the battery on usage.

Nothing special. same Snapdragon 625 as Lenovo P2 while bigger battery in Lenovo. Unless you are a fan of Miui better go for Lenovo

For those who need a better camera, go for Honor 6x launching next week as it has dual camera and image quality looks much better compared to RN4 (sucks in low light), but the GPU is even weaker than RN4. Or wait for upcoming Moto G5 Plus, it also has SD625 maybe it will be priced around 15K but you can be sure that cameras will be much better than Redmi N4. So for those who want a phone with more GPU power go for vivo v3 max, Z2 plus, Le 2, Le Max2 or the ever reliable RN3

Xiaomi is just another Chinese company for most people here, hence the difference in perception is justified :)

redmi note 4 concentrates more on battery life this time but fails to concentrate on GPU
however i think xiaomi has slightly improved the camera(i hope).
rather than that it the same thing as redmi note 3
But i wonder how xiaomi would launch the redmi 4 series cos redmi 4 prime has the same sd 625 processor!

the only think i hated about this fone is that there is no black color in 4gb 64gb variant -_-
and btw the 2gb ,3gb ram 32gb rom variant in black is available in mi store app

I've read almost all the comments here since the morning of the launch. Now here's my opinion.
Xiaomi made a huge mistake last year by launching the RN3 with SD650 & pricing it at 12k for the 32Gb variant in a spec-obsessed & price sensitive market like India. This caused a chain reaction of sorts. Since coz of this, a relatively unknown company like LeEco had to price their mid-range flagship, the Le 2, the same in order to mark their presence in India & grab people's attention (even if they were making a tiny loss on each handset sold, just like the Yu Yureka from 2 years ago), which they otherwise could've easily launched for around 15-18k. Now coz of the Le 2 being priced so low, they relatively had to price the Coolpad Cool 1 at a much more economical price of 14k, even though it being an okay upgrade over the Le 2 with it's dual camera set up, bigger battery, higher RAM & a 3.5mm audio jack.
Now, solely due to this very reason, most people are comparing the RN4 with these 2 LeEco handsets & even the RN3, but not with the other similarly speced handsets which use the same chipset. For instance the Lenovo P2 (granted, it has a much better Amoled display, an impressively higher capacity battery & a near-stock Android experience, but at the same time an equally disappointing camera & no IR blaster), which is priced at around 5-6k higher depending on the variant. Also, the Moto Z Play, which has a Super Amoled display too, a fantastic camera , a fast charging battery & of course a no nonsense, stock Android experience, but it's priced at more than double to that of the RN4 (when compared to the 3Gb, 32Gb variant).
Instead, it would've been better if Xiaomi would've launched the RN3 with SD617 (as done by many of the competitors like Coolpad Note 5, Moto G4 & G4 Plus, Nubia Z11 Mini to name a few, which're priced similar or even higher) & included a crappy 13MP Samsung camera sensor in place of a similarly crappy 16MP Samsung sensor (BTW, RN4 uses a supposedly better 13MP Sony sensor), a lower capacity 3000-3500 mAh battery (again, same as most of the competition) & possibly a 5.5" HD display with just a mediocre 720p resolution (remember the Coolpad Note 3S priced at 10k?).
Agreed, if this would've been the case, then RN3 wouldn't have broken so many records & proven to be the highest ever selling Xiaomi handset in India. But at least then the people would've considered the RN4 a legendary & phenomenal upgrade & fallen head over heels in love with it, making it an international sensation overnight. But unfortunately, that's not the fact coz we Indians are obsessed about the numbers, spec sheet & extra features (even if some of us don't even use most of them anyway to their full potential), rather than the real world & day-to-day experience.
Basically, Xiaomi spoilt us Indians with the RN3 & dug the grave for the RN4 with it's very own hands. To be fair, in a perfect scenario, as a next generation Redmi Note, the RN4 ideally should've at least had an upgraded chipset apart from other minor upgrades. But as we know, life isn't always fair & perfect after all. So, my point is, those who like it, buy it, those who don't, stay away & stop trolling. Although, existing RN3 users, better avoid it.
Now, this is just my personal opinion. So, no judgements or criticism here please.

And I really don't care what phone do they buy in India. Xiaomi isn't that long in phone market as Lenovo, but I tell you what. Look at the % at the end of this year.
And you haven't reacted to fact, that P2 is 1,5x more expensive (around 200€ vs 300€). That is another segment of mobile phones. And in that segment I definitely would not be satisfied with a S625 chipset. In case if you prefer battery that much, is true, it could be the best buy.
