I watch a lot of videos on my Note4 - I won't buy a phone with a curved screen

It depends on screen aspect ratio and device dimensions. If the ratio is a lot taller it will help with the width but using it one handed will be too hard anyway because of the height, so it would really only be about pocketability.

Personally I just want a phone I can use comfortably with one hand. A 5.2-5.5" 16:9 screen with on screen buttons and minimal side bezel fits that criteria. I'm not so sure about a 5.7" 17:9 or 2:1 ratio just yet.

It seems to me that you really want to remain the number one that you are. All I am seeing and hearing about this phone it seems no phone can come close. BUT AFRAID THE PRICE WILL REACH $1000 if possible. I so expensive then do a lite version for us S8 lite with the same design and we will love you more. The lite version can be $400 to $500 with same design and good specs. We are waiting. This will be my 4th samsung phone. I was considering h

Yes, this is what I have being talking about very big screen but small body size. This is the phone men! I love this phone more than any phone design I have set my eyes on. Powerful design. No front space wasted all and no bezels as well. Oh Samsung you are indeed number one.

Gonna get the S8 Plus. It's just as big as the S7 edge anyway. And with a 0.8" advantage in screen diagonal. Sweet!

I'm going to the S8 Plus, i love the big screen, the big screen makes me enjoy to watching Netflix, reading e-books etc. 5 inches and below are too small for me.

So your point is moot. Bezels change everything.

Just make pen support standard (in the plus model at least) and that's it.
I honestly hope that the Note 7 debacle would kill the series. It bothers me that that may not be the case after all... It means that we have to wait 6 months extra for what it could well be a standard feature by now.

BTW I was one of the first to support the Note series back when it was differentiated from the S Series. Nowadays it's a clone plus pen, it's useless.

I like the bigger screen S8 cuz the curved sides will make the usable surface area about 5.8". Also the bigger size will mean a slightly bigger battery..hopefully Sammy has fixed any potential battery issues.
I also like the idea of waiting for the Note 8 to replace my Note 4..the only problem is the waiting period of its release. Choices for very good Android flagship phones are endless...so what to do?

I have been using Samsung Galaxy mega 6.3 since 2013 and now i'm in the market for a new cell phone and was about to buy a Lenovo phab 2 plus or pro or something that is 4g LTE and over 6" but now i will wait for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus 6.3 and don't care how much it cost.

If they can cram 6.3 inch qhd into same size factor as Mate 7 which has 6 inch, then that's a winner right there.

Having a 5" screen phone in the pocket is already pain in the a$$. Please stop at 5.5 "
